It doesn't matter who it's from, as long as it's accurate. I need it for the start of my personal statement which I intend to write for my application to University. It needs to be amazing as I am to be a mature student, I want to go to a good uni, and have no qualifications. My entire future relies on my personal statement, and the entire personal statement relies on a good beginning and a good beginning relies on a good quote!
Thanks

Well, it really depends on what you want your personal statement to be - how do you want to come across? Bold? Fun-loving? Ambitious? Passionate? Rebellious? There are great quotes for all of these, but you first must decide the theme of your statement.

Here are some ideas that may help:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

"What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God." - Eleanor Powell

"Men are wise in proportion, not to their experience, but to their capacity for experience." - George Bernard Shaw

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is." - Albert Einstein

Hopefully those will get your creative juices flowing. Once you decide on a theme, check out the link below to find more quotes by topic. Good luck!
