My doctor's office sees patients between the hours of 8:30 and 3:45...last patient always seen no later than 3:45...well during those times I'm always either commuting to work or at work and don't have a lot of time I can take off. Don't most doctors see their last patient at 4:15 or later?

If there is a local hospital in your area, call and ask for either their Marketing or Medical Staff Office. Ask for physicians in your area by specialty, and call each office to find out their patient hours. Also, if there is a physician's office nearby your place of work, sometimes you can squeak in a lunch hour appointment. My area is very rural, so most of the doctors in the community have patient hours until 4:30, but there are entire days that they do not schedule, so on patient days, they see as many patients as they can. Start with local docs in your area, see if there are any physicians that are along your commute route, etc. Local Hospitals usually have Medical Staff Rosters and can provide alot of information (specialty, office hours, are they taking new patients, etc.). Change doctors, that appears to be your only option, if your doctor's office isn't willing to schedule to meet your needs. Call the office and ask for a transfer of records form, when they ask why, tell them because you can't be seen around work-sometimes, they will book you in rather than lose your business-but most times not. Hope you don't have a serious condition...

I would think the Saturday hours would be best. I'm a SAHM but I think we can all relate to settling down in the evening and not wanting to do any more. Plus kids typically go to be at 7-8-9 in the evening so it might be too much and keep them out too late if they were to just extend the hours. Then again, I'm sure it will be very hard and you'd have to schedule very early for a Saturday appointment... ...either way I still say Saturday is best. I hope this helps!
