Although there is always the possibility of viruses, there just aren't that many written to affect the Linux OS as there are written for the Windows OS.
Most of the anti-virus for Linux distros though are going to be i386 based, which may not help much since the cell processor in the PS3 is not i386 compliant. You'll have to look for an anti-virus for the specific linux you're running or you may face some problems.
