Hindu rituals are so unsanitary. I have an Indian neighbor who worships rats and it is disgusting... everywhere in his house there's rat poop... if there's going to be another plague in the world, the Indians will bring it upon us...

Ram Raj is right. These idols are symbols and worship what the idol symbolises not the clay or statue itself. Do Christians not worships statues of the Madonna and Mary? It is the same thing!

Also Hinduism is good in this way because there is respect for all animals and it shows that God is inside every living creature and therefore they deserve to be worshipped and respected.

amthebest you idiot - how uneducated! You not worship some people in posters etc? How can you worship something made out of paper? This is your logic?

They believe that this idol can free them from things or bring peace and harmony. just depends. All religion do not worship idols. Like Christian's god is not an idol. It is all strange to me of those religions. We are raised from the time we are little to be whatever religion our parents are so some never question. My view is that I worship no idols, I worship the holy ghost who was sent hear as man and was seen with peoples eyes and the miracles he performed

They don't worship cattle per se, but rather they respect cows because they're the chosen animals of god Rama, one of Vishnu's incarnations. It's a bit like saying that Christians worship sheep, because of the frequent references in the sermons.

I am amazed that a learned person (if not my mistake) does not see the difference between a symbol and real.
When a piece if cloth is fluttering in wind you think nothing of it, but if that piece of cloth had some specific pattern of Stars and stripes you think of USA. The flag is not the country, flag is symbol of the country.
Don't get fooled by the Jesuits, trying to fool you. If you are intelligent person you will make your own investigation.
Hindu believe that God is everywhere, and God is in everything. The idols, gods are all representation of that omnipotent GOD popularly referred to as BRAHMAN.

hinduism is idol worship, just about every religion is idol worship. FOX has the American Idol, and 3 million people worship it.
maybe you want to know what a 'false idol' is, or 'ideology'

God (Brahma) is everywhere and in everything. God wears many masks - and God does not mind being worshipped the best way we are able. Some need something physical in front of them to worship - others do no need it.

It is the same as the Catholics having the staute of Mary and Jesus in Churches.

They are symbols rather than gods.

But you will often find Catholics praying in front of the statue of Mary.

The Hindu do the same. They build statues of their gods and pray to them.

A bit silly you would say. But that is what faith is all about.
