I guess cause it tastes good and the milk really compliments the cookie. I guess the texture has something to do with it to. but im not really sure. good question!

Now lots of people like cookies & milk so what is wrong about putting both in your mouth at the same time?
I think it just adds to the enjoyment of eating hard cookies.

I gotta tell ya, for me, its about the texture. I like how it makes the cookie start to disintegrate a bit and, i like the cold temp of milk in contrast to the room temperature cookie. Plus its a very convenient thing to do. If you dip the cookie, its like getting a bite of cookie and a sip of milk all in one!
