i experienced something in the hospital room with my mom a few days before she died. she and i are bible believing christians. i did not see anything, only felt it. she felt it too and we were afraid. although i do believe in spirits like the holy ghost which i know exist because i feel him move in my heart. i have never experienced something spiritual that scared me. we prayed loud and demanded it leave the room. and the fear left with it. have any of u experienced anything like this? and if so please tell me. and also if anybody can give me some scriptures to study on this subject please list them. i really need to understand this. i am not comfortable talking to about this to people i know. some just think i am depressed and imagining things. this was not my imagination. it was as real as u or me. only it took no visible form. i was looking for it!!! serious answers only please !!!

the next day we did not discuss it any. i thought at the time i was just really stressed and must have made myself believe that it was real. but how can she and i have the same illusion at the same time? she passed a few days later. she was without a doubt a good christian as she lived it well. when she did finally pass, there were many of us with her in the room. and nothing like that happened then. my aunt who was in the room with us claims that she did recieve a vision at that moment she passed that she was not just in heaven but running through the streets of heaven toward the savior. rejoicing.

I understand why this has upset you. There are evil spirits. You and your Mother did exactly what you needed to do.
I have a very honest brother, still living, who said he saw satan. He said he was very afraid.
Your Mother is with God and his angels in Heaven. She is safe.
Why don't you read the New Testament and pray.
What you need to realize is : There is a God. There is Heaven. There is satan and evil. There is hell.
James 2 :19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

I believe we all have angels that watch over us. I also believe that God sends us angels to go with us when we go to heaven. Find comfort in this. For example, my grandmother was incoherent for about a week, up until the about 15 minutes before her life left her body. Everyone was in the room, knowing that it would be soon, and she sat straight up in the bed and pointed to the ceiling in the corner and said "Look at him, ain't he beautiful. Just look at him!" We couldn't see anything, for a moment we thought she was just hallucinating, but then we all realized what had happened. We lost her just a few minutes later. It gave us a sense of peace. We knew. I don't think you are imagining anything. Take it as comfort from God.

Let me start out by saying that I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, I do not attend church, however, due to many reasons, the main one being the corruption in ALL churches nowadays!
Now, on to your question, I think that if this "entity" scared you and your mother, it was probably an earthbound spirit, and not a friendly one! I don't think it was "the angel of death" or it certainly would not have left on your command. I do believe that hospitals have many earthbound spirits in them. Look how many people have died in them! My advice to you is to seek out a religious leader who you believe has your best interest at heart and consult them about it. Don't be ashamed of discussing it! I know a guy who was attending an all boy's Christian boarding school. He came into a room where there was a piano and was shocked to see a man dressed in brilliant white who seemed to glow! He thought it was an angel, and was awestruck for a brief moment. Then the glowing thing opened its mouth to speak and no words were coming out, just lips moving, so he said to it "I command you to leave this place in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!" and the thing turned into a demonic looking entity and vanished! I do believe this tale, he has told this all his life, is a "Christian" man and doesn't tell tall tales!

Yes, it is real. The main thing is to control your fear to the best of your ability and rebuke it(as you did). You have authority over demons and over all the power of the enemy. Remember, satan uses fear in the attempt to control us. God has not given us a spirit of fear...you are not crazy. I have also experienced such encounters. Hospitals and funeral homes are places where this kind of thing happens. Please, do not think I am crazy, yet when a possessed person dies (not speaking of your mother, but perhaps someone else in the hospital)..the demon must leave and immediately will seek another place of residence. I also know a pastor who has had this same type of experience in a hospital. Just remember, you have the authority in Jesus name. (michelle loveChrist's daughter)

Fear is a spirit. The bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love,power and a sound mind. It seems to me that Satan tried to scare you because your mom and you knew she was going to die. He is so evil.
Your mom is in heaven with her loved ones that have gone on before her. She never died, just her body. I hope this in some way comforts you.
I don't know any scriptures that deal with the angel of death except maybe in exodus when the children of Israel had to put the blood on the door of their houses for protection when all the first born were killed in Egypt.

It is very possible that there was an entity/spirit present that might have had nothing to do at all with your mother and her passing. Spirits/entities exist in our realm as well as the spirit realm and it's very possible there was a history in that specific location than something directly to do with your mother.
I wouldn't personally associate it with angels/spirits of death.
It's one of those very real experiences you and your mother had, that without some sort of scientific research/evidence and history tracking that only might come a little closer to revealing the truth to what you felt.
I don't have any scriputres for you, as I don't read the bible. I have in the past, quite extensively. However, I do not believe that the bible is going to offer and evidence to support your specific situation.
If you are searching the scriptures to find something that pertains to what you experienced, I believe you are going to be left with as many questions as you started with.
Of course it's possible too that you find a general meaning from scriptures that locks in and satisfies your curiosity. That will not solve the question though...The question will always remain.....

I certainly believe that God is more than capable of sending angels and Satan is more than capable of sending demons. They are real, for the Bible tells us this in many passages. You said that you felt something...go see a pastor or someone you trust who could help guide you in the right direction. They will pray with you and help you understand what you, possibly, felt. Also, get a Bible with a concordance or find an online Bible that you could search for verses on this. Good luck!
