never mind the lights, you may have a screw loose, as for the rest of you! dont you know a p**s taker when you read one. their supposed to flash you div. and if their not meant to check the plug aint being messed with! possibly by a little minion hiding behind the tree.

I don't think you need to get any new tree lights. As you've said, you find them pretty when they go round in a spiral.Something you may find hard to get in a new set.And you have the added bonus that you've have stumbled upon a "saver-light-set",one second using power, the next second not.Might you want to sell them???

unless they've got a little control box on them which gives them a variable setting, then I'd check the plug make sure all the bulbs are in securely (while unplugged). and try them in a different socket, if still flashing I'd buy a new set.
good luck

Have you checked the wire in the plug isn't loose, or one of the bulbs isn't loose. If you have checked these i would get a new set, they are cheap enough, especially if you hang on till right near Christmas and get a set in the sale.

i'd say yes, but i'm not an electrician. if you've had them a while then you might aswell just change them, save all the stress.

no - it will just give the impression that you have flashing lights on your tree.
