no i never have read a book that made me laugh out loud, i dont think books can have that effect on me, weird but true. I have smiled though when i read something and i found it interesting or slightly funny. I would love to laugh out loud with a book, but i still havent found one that is able to do that. most probably because i read a lot of crime books like for example all of james patterson books, and am hooked on NCIS,

I would try to have alt. languages, as you know it is getting more and more important to be bilingual now. I would also add an option to give you the definition of some words. Also if your invention will be reading textbooks maybe it could have side notes. Well good luck!! I will be looking for one in a store near me soon :>

Well you need to think about the age group that you are aiming for and people who might not be able to here properley as others. I think the best idea you coulod do some seaches of differnt things like animals and objects and get peoples comments from the age group you are trying to targett.

You don't have to work too hard for that.
As a matter of fact it is already made possible.
Many Microsoft Softwares (eg:Microsoft Encarta) can read out text aloud.
And for reading many notebook PC's can scan and recognize printed as well as hand-written text.

It should have a choice of voice over - with different accents; a chirpy American accent would just annoy the hell outta me. lol - no offence to the Americans though!

volume control, pause, auto shut off after so many minutes, restart where you left off, divided chapters.
