As far as I know there isn't any evidence that fish oil aids in weight loss, just a few unproven theories at this point, ( I could be wrong though) but the Omega 3 fatty acids are extremely good for you body and brain.
There isn't a set recommended dose, as no one can seem to agree on what's appropriate for you body, and the reality is that different people need different amounts depending on their diet.
Really, it's best to just follow the directions on the label. Some fish oil has mercury in it which you really want to avoid excessively exposing your self to that. Maybe you could try eating foods high in Omega 3 fatty acids, like salmon, walnuts, dark leafy greens. Also, a lot of stuff comes fortified with Omega 3's as well.
The best way to take supplements is through a healthy diet, and a great coincidence is that a healthy diet promotes a healthy weight!
Good luck with everything!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Rather get yourself an omega 3&5 supplement. To have it help in weight loss you have to be on a low sugar or carbohydrate diet, and high on fibre and protein.
The reason healthy fats help with weight loss is you teach your body to rely on fat for energy and not sugar, that gets the burning of fat going. (carbs are the enemy)
Also drink a lot of clean cold water, it speeds up your metabolism.
Some cardio training will speed it all up dramatically.
All the best

Fish oil doesn't promote weight loss, it promotes heart health. For weight loss, you need exercise.
