Hello, Salam,

I need ur help for planning our trip to Istanbul turkey,

I booked 4nights in Marmara Hotel in Istanbul, starting from 19 December to 23 December , We are a family consisting of:
Father 64 , Mother 56 , Me 27 , 2 sisters 18 & 28 years old

Its our second time to visit Istanbul , and we want to know where to go in that time , because I heard it will be so cold and many places will be closed in The Eid , also we don't want to visit again Topkapi and Ayasophia and the the blue mosque, Dolmabasha saray, I mean we prefer day trip by bus or something,

So , pls help me in this:
- Can u advice us what to do in this 4 days??
- Where we can find a suitable tourist company for booking some full day or half day trips ???
- Does the shops and the sightseeing will be closed??

Also , any more advices will be much appreciated,

Thanks alot Turkish friends,

Hagia Sophia is closed on Monday, Topkapı palace on Tuesday and Dolmabahçe on Monday and Thursday. Full day or half day tour you can get in any agency around Sultanahmet ( I trust on Onur agency in Yerebatan street). Also boat trip on Bosphorus available.

Don't be afraid that everything will be close here. Istanbul never sleeps and now we are waiting for Christmas and New Year here. Weather still nice (today 10 degrees and just some raining in the morning). Also in 4 days you can go out from Istanbul and visit Cappadokia ( www.yukitour.com) or Ephesus+ Pamukkale.

First lesson: Don't say Salam to Turks! It is Arabic! We don't speak Arabic.

You say Merhaba! This is how we talk.

YOu make a tour on the Bosphore.
You go to Nisantasi shopping area. Kanyon is a great shopping place.
You go to Ortakoy, Bebek,Emirgan,Sariyer.
You go to Taksim Beyoglu.
Have a great time.
Welcome...

In my opinion, you can contant Icem Tours,
http://www.icemtour.com/ -> Contact Us

This organization is member of Tursab ... (This is important ...)
Maybe you can select for visiting Istanbul Asia Side and Bosphorus Tour ...

Maybe first day, Shops will be late open ... Other days, there is no problem ...

If you're after cultural trips, you can try Edirne for the old Ottoman capital. If you are early risers, you can go and come back in one day.
