I'm trying to lose weight, I excercise by running/walking approx. 1.5-2km followed by 25 pushups, 15 bicep excercises with 5kg on each arm, 15 lunges on each leg and using the 5kg weights to do some pectoral excercises (to lose some weight off my boobs) but I kind of snack quite a bit. I'll have cereal and a glass of water for breakfast, a sandwich and a drink of water or cordial for lunch and whatever mum cooks for dinner (usually meat and veg.), but in the afternoon between lunch and dinner I get a bit peckish. I'll eat maybe anything from a muesli bar and some biscuits to a piece of cake and an iceblock! Please help me!! I did try to lose weight once before by checking my food intake and did all this excercise but I gave up after 3 weeks because it didnt seem to be making a difference although my muscles were more defined in my arms and legs (slightly). I'm assuming I weigh somewhere between 66 and 74kg (not sure because I don't have scales) and am 172cm tall (I've calculated my

BMI which says I'm in the normal range) but I still am not happy with my weight, because I'm a size 14 on average, usually 12 in pants and L or 14 in shirts. (btw, these are Australian sizes so they're different to UK and US sizes etc) and I've been told I'm fat at school a few times and I don't want to develop an eating disorder to lose weight because I want too do it healthily, as my sister suffered from anorexia for about a year to lose weight. She succeeded to lose 20kg which took her down to like 40kg and did HEAPS of excercise (something like 500 situps in one hit with other stuff) and ate very little. So please help me!! I have to lose it because I'm sick of being the fat one amongst all my friends who are all thin and I REALLY want to lose weight off of my chest and stomach and thighs!!

I don't know your age and I have no idea about your bone structure. If you are below 25 having usual and normal bone structure , I don't think you are highly over-weight.I suggest , have the same routine exercise as you are doing now.Drink water a bit more than what you have mentioned.Take less cereals and make it a habit of eating more salads with less fat and protein intake.
Don't stop exercising once you feel you are in good shape.Make it a daily Do.Have more cucumber and tomatoes along with lot of leafy veg. This will take time to make it a regular habit.
Have low calorie food items and avoid ice cream completely .You may take such food items once in a while after about 2/3 months.Diet and exercise go hand in hand......I am sure , you are`aware of this.
Everything will be fine with you after a 3 months......gadually.Never expect any overnight reduction of weight by following online ads and the stuff mentioned therein.

God Bless

Drink more water throughout the day, that helps some people fight hunger. Ask your mum to buy only healthy snacks, at least that way if you can't resist, you aren't doing too much damage if you just grab whatever happens to be around. Most of all, find the reason you really want to stay in shape, deep inside yourself. Use that as motivation, think about it everytime you feel like grabbing a biscuit. Ask yourself, do I really need this?

First go to your nearest Statefarm Agency and get the Dr. Ian pack - it's free!!! Also try eating smaller quanties and not too much bread. If you are hungry and just need something in your mouth - buy fruits, yogurt, nuts/seeds. Iam very greedy, what I do is make a smoothie - I use honey, fruits and ice - sometimes I add yogurt. Try substituting that for a meal. It's healthy and good! Get a scale. I weigh myself evryday just to make sure I don't gain weight.

You can try and break down your meals to 5-6 small meals through out the day. Or you can do three meals a day and 2 light snacks. If you are going to have snacks in between your meals, make sure they are healthy snacks. Try a handful of nuts such as almonds or walnuts. You can do a cup of yogurt, veggie sticks. Or some fruit. You don't have to stop eating, you just need to change what you eat.

You're probably suffering from head hunger. It's when you eat because they're isn't anything else to do. You may not even be hungry and then find yourself nibbling on something sweet.

When ever you feel the urge to snack, grab something healthy like a piece of fruit OR drink a big glass of water.

Try drinking various types of teas..seems to help me curb my cravings. And never shop on a empty stomach...instead plan your meals and maybe diversify your menu by trying a healthy and new recipe. As for working out, a little goes along way, keep it up. You will see the results as long you watch what you eat. Keep your portions smaller and more frequent. Good Luck!

Discipline is the key if you need to lose weight for health reasons.
If you encounter hunger pangs while you're at it, eat cashews, peanuts, almonds-any kind of nuts (don't worry, you won't go nutty :)) because these nuts are able to sustain your energy level and enable you to carry on with your exercise regime.
The many health benefits of eating nuts can be read up.
Moderation is the key to good health.

not sure if you work but what he did was put a 1trl jug of water next to his desk, everytime he had the urge to nibble on something he would down as much of the water as he could. this made him feel really bloated and he quicky sorted his weight and not to mention he is alot healthier these days. I know a friend who did this while there were trying to give up smokeing and it worked aswell. good luck
