Sure seems that way, there's no proof of any of these thousands of Gods ever existing. Then Christians tell us that we can't prove that their Gods don't exist, but the lack of proof, and simple logic shows them to be merely fables.

He's making his list
checking it twice
gonna find out who's been naughty or nice
Judgement day is coming for you....

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
You knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for Jesus's sake.

Wink Winkleman, actually there are no historical records before 325 when Constantine made a god up, called Hesus Crishna.

Y'shua (Jesus) is real and their is Historical proof for Him.: Josephus, Philo, Eusibus, the Talmud ect are extra-biblical accounts of His life.

As for Santa, the poor guy got a bum rap when some one equated St. Nicolas with some crazy myth about a fat guy in a red suit. Nicholas is listed as a participant in the First Council of Nicaea. There are many good deeds and miracles attributed to him. Ironicly St. Nicolas has become the pagan face of Christmas. Not only was Nicholas intolerant of pagans, he was also intolerant of Arianism. He is said to have became so angry upon hearing the views of Arius that he rushed over to the heretic and gave him a tremendous box on his ears, sending him to the ground.

Nope.

Sometimes atheist assert that there is no proof that God exists. The only problem is that an atheist cannot logically make that claim.

In order to state that there is no proof for God's existence, the atheist would have to know all alleged proofs that exist in order to then state that there is no proof for God's existence. But, since he cannot know all things, he cannot logically state there is no proof for God's existence.

At best, an atheist can only state that of all the alleged proofs he has seen thus far, none have worked. He could even say that he believes there are no proofs for God's existence. But then, this means that there is the possibility that there is a proof or proofs out there and that he simply has not yet encountered one.

Nevertheless, if there was a proof that truly did prove God's existence, would the atheist be able to accept it given that his presuppositions are in opposition to the existence of God? In other words, given that the atheist has a presuppositional base that there is no God, in order for him to accept a proof for God's existence, he would have to change his presuppositional base. This is not easy to do and would involve a major paradigm shift in the belief structure of the atheist. Therefore, an atheist is presuppositionally hostile to any proofs for God's existence and is less likely to be objective about such attempted proofs.

I like your take on that old Santa song. It goes to the crux of the problem with delusional god-man believers. They have never put away childish things and prefer to stay in their version of Never Never Land. Only Peter Pan's world was much more interesting and fun to be in.

Edit: Lion of Judah, you're so full of horse kaka. Why do you insist on believing in a genocidal, homicidal, megalomaniacal "God?" Your god is a deranged dictator, which makes you a deranged follower. Now that is logic.

could very well be lots of things tell you that as a doubting Thomas but Santa Claus may have more basic proof of existance. There is a north pole.

Jesus' existance is a matter of historical record. Santa Claus is a ridiculous lie and myth. Big difference.

Actually there are a number of historical records and archaeological evidence proving Jesus' existance.

You are accidentally coming very close to a divine spiritual truth. Jesus said that even adults must become like little children to inherit the kingdom of God.

But of course all deities are fiction, we humans love fiction, and we have been very fruitful in "creating" all those deities, and when the beauty of these "creations" fade, we simply go and "create" more elaborate ones.
However, once most humans agreed that there is only one god, we have a problem "creating" a better version, which is one god less.

That is ridiculous. There is but ONE God, not thousands. God wants a RELATIONSHIP with you. Not to put you on a naughty or nice list. Truth be told, we are all naughty. His love - His son - saves us. No Santa Claus there.
