I have psoriasis too. It comes and goes (right now it's pretty bad.) You can get a tattoo if you have psoriasis. However you should wait until you aren't having active outbreaks. Also, (like tatt_bratt said) Pick a spot where you normally don't get outbreaks.
If your psoriasis "jumps" to your tattoo it's not the end of the world. I have two pretty large tattoos. One came out just fine the other one started showing signs of psoriasis when it was a couple of weeks old. My dermatologist was able to provide me with medications that stopped it from developing fully. If you want ink then go for it! You will just have to be a little more diligent than most when it comes to the healing process. If your new tattoo starts showing signs of psoriasis don't be afraid to get your dermatologist involved.

PS. Thanks for the heads up JKC!!!

I have psoriasis - although not as bad as some. At least one of the regulars on here has it as well. That person could really give you some helpful advice. If they don't notice your question on here I'll see if I can get them to answer :)

Yes you can. Be sure those areas you want tattooed are well healed though.

To whoever posted the negative - I have been in this situation with several clients before and this is what their dermatologist said.

Thats definatly something you should ask a tattoo artist. They'd know better than anyone else!
