Mickey Rooney(as long as he makes it:-)) next year becomes the longest working stage and screen artist ever so I think that deserves a round of applause!

I love Mickey Rooney. Imagine, It could become the next big thing, all the stars might have a go.

Nicole Kidman as Cinderella, with De niro and Pacino as the ugly sisters !! I'd go lol.

Henry Winkler did his first panto over here last year and loved it so much that's why he's back - was on our local news a couple of Weeks ago. As for Mickey Rooney - didn't know he was still alive until the weekend when I read the obscene amount he was getting paid for acting the fool !!

Ever since the work dried up in the US I think. Panto is strictly a British thing as far as I can tell. In other countries they do have something called Pantomime, but its like a cross between stand up comedy and a stage mime artist.

I was trying to explain what Panto is to an Egyptian friend the other day. I said try to imagine a kids fairytale, acted out on stage in the style of a Carry On film, by an amateur dramatics group, where a lot of the men are played by women and a lot of the women are played by men, and that's roughly it.

it's the first time for both of them. Mickey Rooney's wife is also in panto with him
Panto is a very British thing at Christmas time -that's sort of Decemberish- in case anyone doesn't know because some PC person in a town near you may cancel it in case it upsets anyone !

Henry Winkler did one last year and apparently really enjoyed it. So he came back again this year to do it all over again,
It's Mickey Rooney's first time though.
