how do i do a photoshop action?

It is in effect a macro. You activate the function, click on record then go through whatever procedure you want to be an action, click finish and everything you have done is recorded and saved. You can then do that series of keystrokes and procedures by starting the action. It is easier than it sounds - give it a go.

No, you can't record actions but you can install and use a lot of actions made on Photoshop as long as they don't use windows or dialogues that Elements doesn't have. For general photo tweaking, renaming, resizing, etc., you can use File>Process Multiple Files in Elements.

just open ur project in photoshop and select ur desired action then come down and u can see a play button just click it. All the actions have specific name.
