My dog got loose and unfortunately a police officer found her before I could. I was given a citation ticket for Dog at Large. I'm a bit short on cash at the moment and having never had this happen before, am unsure what the cost will be. Anyone know?

Pet laws are mainly coded in the ordinances of the city you live in.

You should contact your local city hall for a much more accurate answer than most of us in this forum can give you.

Hope Utah is less than Loma Linda Calif. and the other commie cities in that state. Loma Linda has a dog catcher who will cite the owner for dog running at large if the animal even steps into the street. Fine is $300. owner has 12 hours to pay for this extortion by a dog catcher who is obviously getting sizable percentage of the $300. If owner does not pay the dog catcher returns, takes the dog leaving the owner with an even more exorbitant bill to pay as a fine to keep their animals. For weeks after the dog catcher stalks that street in hope the dog will do this again and he'll earn even more money.

I dont think something like that would be very expensive, but I suppose animal control would know.
Wish they would give a ticket for dogs that wont quit barking because the owners ignore them.
Put in a complaint and was told I would have to document times and stuff. Like I wanna get up in the middle of the night 3 or 4 times to write it all down.
Ahh well.
Anyway hope its not too much and keep that dog secure, dont want another ticket. I think repeat occurances can cause higher fines and even your pet taken if enough of a problem.
