My symptoms are Major Joint pains in all joints except my elbows & right knee. Muscles fatigue and failure to function affecting all limbs but most often left leg. My arms and legs jump around of their own accord. Woke up numbness in right side of my face and had trouble focusing my right eye ever since. Head fog and pain in front of head and through eyes. The most help I've had is with Brufen (Ibuprofen) tablets they clear my head completely & give me greater limb function. Without them I get about 2hrs out of my legs before collapse. Numbness along side of Left thigh area is increasing in size. The more physical stuff I do the quicker my body deteriates.Resting doesn't stop it happening but sleep rejuvinates to a degree. I live with constant fatigue which is improved with Brufen. I suffer a lot of pain in joints & muscles that brufen & panadol help but don't remove. Does anyone know what this could be? My doctors don't know. 3 years now and It's getting worse.

If your doctors don't know, you should try to see some other doctors. That's a serious problem. I'd say that you're having some neural problems and quite possibly muscular atrophy.

You should get an MRI done at another facility, just to get a second opinion. You may or may not have MS, you might even have Parkinsons. I can't say for sure. But you definately want to do what ever it is in your power to get this taken care of. If it lingers much longer, I don't know how reversible the symptoms may be, if at all.

Don't quote me for any of this. I am by no means anything close to a doctor. I took an anatomy and physiology course at college, I know a bit, but not everything.

~I hope you get it figured out, and happy holidays.

First off, it sort of sounds like (with the heat) that he has injured his legs (possibly from too much running away from the dominant pasture mate) and that his legs are stocking up because of it. To begin with, I would recommend hand walking him at least an hour every 4-5 hours. I do this with my 17.1 warmblood everytime we go to shows and he is stalled to keep him from being stiff, but you need to make sure he gets the proper movement. After walking him for about 40 minutes, I would stop him, and begin massaging where the swelling is gently (especially over the tendons) I would then use some hot water (have someone get some hot tap water in a large bucket for you) and put some liniment soap of sort in it (vetrolin = wonderful) or a liniment gel and put it in the water, stir it well and then take a sponge/rag and begin soaking each leg in the water well. Then put a liniment on each four legs and walk him out for another 20 minutes. Let him stop and rest. Do NOT force him to move if he looks absolutely limping/miserable for too long, however if he isn't -- make sure to get him moving. Use the hot water every day. See if there is any improvement within 4-5 days of the treatment. If there is, it sounds like he has overworked and is stocking up. It may cause harm, but likely it won't. Good luck.

In some reading I've done on MS in the past the gold standard for diagnosing MS is an MRI "along" with a spinal tap (because the spinal fluid can also give a lot of information as to what's going on).

I have two specialists I would like to recommend that you have a consultation with if you haven't already.

The first one is a neurologist to rule out other neurologic disorders that could be causing this. Neurologists are a specialist that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the nervous system.

The second one is a rheumatologist. These doctors diagnoses and treat diseases and disorders involving bones and joints. One of the diseases they can diagnose and treat is Lyme Disease. Based on your symptoms one that could be possible is that Lyme Disease could be playing in to this.

Ask your doctor if they have done a blood test to check for Lyme Disease

It sounds as if you have some form of Arthritis and Fibro on top. The leg collapse and numbness I can relate too, prolapsed disc. Yes good night's sleep can rejuvenate me, but good nights sleep are days and nights apart.
