Does it hav an effect on the sebaceous glands in the skin, to cause breakouts?

Some women experience clearer skin from the pill, but it hasn't changed anything for me. Then again, I get only a few pimples once in a while, so maybe it helps if your skin is more serious.

The Pill is primarily hormones.
hormones can affect every single cell in your body. this includes your skin.
for most women it has no affect so long as you are taking the right dose for your body.
for others it causes severe acne and breakouts, and for others it can help clear the skin.

Sometimes, birth control pills are prescribed to female acne sufferers because for many of them, it helps clear up their complexions.
