Every single time I imagine a world of atheism, it's like looking into the past. Every single time I imagine a world of pure religion it's like looking into the future. Both places are non-existent. Existence consists of nothing. The universe is blank. All life is blank. The only choice a human has is between blank and blank. You may change what blank is, but it will always be blank, and all blank shares an equation. You may contradict it in any way you want, but there is no change to perfection. Perfection makes no mistakes; thus perfection is perfect always.

Blank plus Blank is Blank.
Blank minus Blank is Blank.
Blank times Blank is Blank.
Blank divided by Blank is Blank.
All Blank that is, is Blank.
All Blank that isn't, is Blank.
Blank is Blank.
Blank is perfection. ......

Every tomorrow is a blank page....our lives are written on a pages that will never be read, for every page is thrown away.- Shades of Sorrow

I really do believe Atheism is a belief of the lost. People who deep down inside are lost and without hope. How can anyone of sane mind look outside at even something as simple and alive as a tree and say this came from nothing and nowhere? It is a blank answer from a blank mind and a blank heart. A thought of those who are truly wandering aimlessly. I am not a Christian, I am not affiliated with any religion or church of men...I am deeply spiritual though and I cannot feel nor comprehend a blank, ending world.

My answer is blank. Blankety blank. Blank blank blank blank blank.

Anyway... I do not deny that people have and do worship gods. But just because people have worshiped gods, that does not mean gods exist.

I am still waiting for empirical evidence to prove the existence of a deity before I believe.

What you have is the question as to which belief is right for you , religion is an organization and is controlling. But you seek higher knowledge, try the world of metaphysics. Here are answers that can give a system of spirituality without being exposed to the dogma of the Church.
Your on the path.

I'm sure your intention was good, but I just couldn't get my mind round whatever you were trying to say. As for your opening question, my guess is that from the moment man's ancestors first developed reasoning minds they have believed in some sort of higher power. A way to explain all the scary stuff of life.

I believe man created god out of the need to explain things in a hurry. Later, man learned how to manipulate that idea. To live without that ancient folktale is to truly have "every tomorrow a blank page". At least that is what I think.

Fair enough - but realise that whenever you "look" into the past or future you are doing so based on a predetermined conceptual template - that of a (presumably) devout Christian.

From your statements it is clear that you will never consider anything except your beliefs to be true. Contrast that with the general atheist view: show me evidence and I will consider your proposition.

So, I'm giving you this opportunity: show me evidence to make me believe in your God. My mind is wide open. Whenever you're ready...

"Every tomorrow is a blank page...."

No... Quite of a lot of stuff from the previous page is still wet, and soaks through to make stains.

If yesterday was famine, or war, or abusive parent, there's a very good chance...

Is there any point to your question? It's full of blanks! Are you chronically overwhelmed by extreme pessimism? Have you considered therapy? You're a real bleeping downer.

Animism led to polytheism which led to monotheism which is leading to atheism. Evolve and get aboard the train.

Are you a Christian or just a wannabe nihilist?

You should have filled in some of those blanks, because I have no idea what you are trying to say.
