How do you create a bootCD as opposed to a boot disk? I need to jump in and partition my main drive. Any ideas?

If you are planning to wipe the drive to reinstall any Windows CDs from XP on are bootable, and can delete and remake a partition.

REMEBER this WILL delete all data.
HAVE you got all the drivers you need ready for the windows install.

Your original Windows CD is bootable, and this will usually provide you with the option to format/partition a drive during the setup process.

Some modern computers don't come with a Windows CD, claiming that you need to create your own using the software on your computer, If this is the case, the 'System Restore' program is usually found in Start Menu->Accessories->System Tools. This should create bootable CD's for you, which will restore your system, but may require up to 5 blank CD's

I wouldn't advise partioning a drive that has data on it, if you must use partion magic (it comes with a book cd)
