boys will be boys, they are generally forgetful but he has to get his priorities straight. he can go xmas shopping anytime but your bday is 1 day out of the year and forgetting that is a pretty big deal. i think you have the right to be upset but if he has apologised compromise, let him shop for a little bit and come to your party afterwards

Oh come on! He's your boyfriend? He'd choose shopping over your birthday party??

On a more neutral note, sure, you have the right to be upset with him. I guess he might have forgotten about the party when his friends asked him to go shopping.

I'm pretty sure that he is really sorry (though I think he can just pick up the phone and tell his friends he's going to his girlfriend's birthday). I'm also pretty sure that he'd rather be with you.

Well, yeah I would be upset. My birthday just passed and mine took the entire day off work to be my designated driver.... and take me to the casino and everything (I turned 21) he also takes off for my siblings birthdays and stuff too.
So I would be very upset if he stood me up for shopping especially since there are plenty of other shopping days.

Uh yea you have a very good reason to be upset with him but if he really cares for you he'll drop by for an hour or two. So I wouldnt worry to much about it.

Of course. Be as mad as you want. You are right. If I did that to my girlfriend... she'd be pissed. And eventually, I would realize she was right, and go with her. So, yes, you do.
