LOL. I have no idea what I would do if I was American. My team are the Brisbane Broncos! (Australian rugby league)... and I voted 1st for the Greens (Bob Brown) in the last election, and 2nd for Labor (Kevin Rudd).
"Liberals" in our country are actually the conservative (and capitalist) party. I have much more socialist leanings... and can't stand the hypocrisy and arrogance of our last leader.
Well, gotta go make brekky for the kids.

I don't root for BYU unless I'm actually there at a game with friends, and they're not playing one of my teams (which are all East Coast teams anyway).
I'm not a Democrat, so I couldn't tell you about who I would vote for If I were......but I'm not even sure I'd vote for Romney anyway. I don't vote for someone just because he is of a certain religion or party. I vote based on how I feel that person will do in office compared to the other candidates. Gotta do more research.

Would a Mormon Republican vote for Senator Harry Reid would be a much harder answer for some Mormon Republicans. To all those who don't know, the Senate Majority Leader is LDS.
Well I live in California, so I would root for USC over BYU any day. I do like BYU but they are not my favorite team.
Though I would like them to get revenge on UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl.
As to who I vote for...I'm still undecided. Romney flip flops but then again he wanted to win in Massachusetts one of the most liberal states in the country. Huckabee(rry) He has faults of his own like letting a rapist prisoner pardoned because he became a born again christian. He got free and raped and murdered two women in Missouri. I also like Duncan Hunter and Tancredo. Ron Paul is good too except for the Iraq war where he is an isolationist. Thompson came and gone as far as I'm concern. I would vote for Guilani or MCCain if they win the nomination, in fact I would vote for any Republican over any dummycrat (democrat) anytime. Obama is too naive and wants to be friends with our enemies and Hillary...Oh no...not her.

I support my school, the University of Utah. The prophet also graduated from here. LDS member root for whoever they want to. I am sure many church members like to see BYU do well, but I certainly rooted for my team over them in the football rivalry this year.
Also, I think some LDS members will vote for Romney simply because they believe that he must have similar views as them, but I think most will make an educated choice on who they vote for and will vote for whoever they want to. I bet an LDS democrat would likely vote for the democratic candidate, unless they were more of a moderate and had disagreements with the democratic candidate.
We are not some psycho cult that is totally loyal in all aspects. We are normal humans who follow the Holy Ghost in our lives, support each other in trial, and live our own lives in the service of God.
Also, to one responder above, there are LDS democrats. Two of my good friends are extremely liberal, yet I love them still.

I am a Mormon, and have no intention of voting for Romney. Neither does anyone elsse in my very LDS family... (including my insufferably republican brother)
While I root for BYU, because I went there, many of my Mormon friends actually root for U of U... and I know a few Mormon big-wigs that actually root for other teams during football seasons. But don't tell them I said anything...

I cheer for BYU most of the time. I didn't attend BYU.
I don't know if a Mormon Democrat would vote for Romney.

Well I usually root for BYU. When it comes to politics though, I'm not gonna vote for someone just because they are LDS. I am actually a registered independent because I feel the two party system is a load of poo poo. I like rooting for BYU though. They are usually hated and disrespected outside the mountain west conference, and I love an underdog.

I usually only root for BY"U if their playing agains the U (sorry moonman and Cookie777) I think a better question might be if they all root for the Jazz. (Most LDS people outside Utah I've talked to love the Jazz, for no apparent reason)
I'm a republican and I'm voting for Romney, not entirely because he's Mormon (It is a factor, and I'll admit it) But my dad is in politics and has met him a few times. He's very impressed with Mitt, and so am I.

Ha ha. That's pretty funny. As BYU is the alma mater of both me and my husband, that is one team we root for. I also grew up in Ohio and as such, am a die hard Ohio State fan (go buckeyes!).
And I usually just vote a republican ticket. But I think that has more to do with being a white woman from a fairly wealthy family than from being a Mormon. :)

Excuse me, I am a Mormon democrat.
I vote Democratically most times. I vote my conscience, and do not listen to outside influence.
Edit:
Why do uhate me beans 4 brains.
If you bash a religion, you should sort of expect to be reported.
Don't bash, don't get reported. Simple.
There is NOTHING worse than a person who degrades the religion of another, whether it be Mormon, Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Wiccan,>> and even the non religion, of atheism.
If the other Christians on here practiced a little more tolerance, there would be less trouble, and less violations.
