It's a HP Photosmart E317. I took about 40 pics and they all show up on the camera when in playback mode, but when I hook up to the computer to download them, they aren't there. Several older pictures that where taken weeks ago are still on there and they show up on the computer, but the new ones don't. Any ideas on how to retrieve them? Thanks.

When I open the camera on the computer as an external drive, they aren't there, nor are they there when going through the "get pics from camera" wizard.

Maybe you have changed the setup of your camera so that the pics are not stored on the card but in the inbuilt memory? The camera should have a function to copy it from there onto the memory card from where you should be able to copy them to your computer.
That's only a guess as I don't know the specifics of your camera etc.

may is suggest that you go to hp and list the camera serial # and ask for tec support. they will try to help you resolve the problem. i purchased a new computer and i have vista, my disk would not work. so i contacted a only line tec. and they had to down load a program to my computer that would work. good luck.
