Being several states away, I don't know what the policy in Chicago is, but there's a good chance that the system has some provision for pregnant students to transfer to a special high school just for them or to keep up their studies at home with a visiting teacher. There's little chance that such a student would simply be expelled or suspended until after her baby is born. However, having taught many pregnant college students and many new mothers (often the same people), I've learned that it's easier to keep up one's studies while pregnant than it is when one has a new baby. So any pregnant student should get as much done as possible before the event!
