...or do they just reverse every argument against them and present it as being original?

The latest I've seen is something about atheism being created by man. There are plenty of others like saying it takes faith to believe in scientific study blah blah.

For the atheists: what is your favorite plagiarized argument like this?

Some fool emailed me today with a great one.

He asked for proof of evolution. I sent him a link to a photograph and description of a Cro-Magnon skull on display at the Museum Of Natural History.

His response?

What if I sent you a link to a Christian website? What does that prove?

Apparently he wants me to drive over to his place and hand him the skull or something.

In several years watching theists bash atheists, I have yet to see an original or thought invoking argument against atheism. It's just the same old horse hockey over and over as each new generation is indoctrinated and thinks they've discovered some great new truth no-one noticed before.

There's nothing new under the sun.

Favorite..? It's the old "Why are there still monkeys?" question against evolution. But evolution isn't really what atheism is about.... Atheism is about intellectual honesty.

I think the most sincere and original argument against atheism that I've ever heard was this: "I don't like atheism." The argument had no foundation to support it, it was self-centered and emotionally driven, and it stood alone only as an opinion, yet it had it's own merit.... LOL ... I was impressed.

My counter argument was simple, of course... I responded: "I do."

Theists typically stick to the established philosophical arguments for God. And your examples may be popular on Yahoo Answers, but they certainly don't reflect the arguments espoused by one third of all philosophy professors. If you want to do the work, go crack the arguments proposed by Aquinas, Descartes, Leibniz, or Godel. Don't mess with the arguments proposed by the manager of your local McDonald's.

nicely. you need to ask atheists what they have against theism, turn it around and accuse atheism of the comparable as atheism is at suitable no longer something greater desirable than opinion with out psychological advantage. What I even have against the cult of atheism is that is anarchist time table and cancerous existence in human civilizations. Atheism is pernicious and casues injury to lots of the fabric of societies. by potential of spreading lots of incorrect information, lies, and myths approximately all factors that is followers do no longer believe. you're claiming "all atheists are people who ought to be judged for my section" whilst in certainty people are social animals and paintings together greater effectively than as persons. so which you compromise that atheism is a distraction and ailment struggling with society from working together. that's a seek for something that may not additionally be there yet opinion tells them in yet in a distinctive way. that's the fake convenience of having a label to attach on your "indications" and attracting well matched people. relatively you for my section basically want your man or woman desires catered for on the cost of others. that isn't any distinctive to a mob boss or gang chief mentality. for this reason why I placed atheism to be a criminal existence.

I'm a Christian, and I have no real interest in presenting arguments against atheism. I choose to be a Christian; however, if other people choose not to be, that's their own personal decision. I don't like people bickering with me about my religious and philosophical choices, so why would I do that to someone else?

I'm not a theist, but I can say that no one can prove there is no God anymore than anyone can prove there is no other life in the universe. It's impossible to prove this. You would have to look everywhere in the entire universe, and that still wouldn't be enough to prove that there is no God. I don't think it's likely that there is a God, but it still cannot be proved with 100% certainty that there is no God. That would be my argument against atheism.

Pascal's Wager. It seems to be the most used, yet most unknown, among Christians. By that I mean they rarely realize it has a name before someone calls them on it.

If you're looking for a challenge, though, check out Veritas48 on youtube.

I genuinely feel sorry for some of these people and their lack of education (that is not meant to be an insult)
