You go to school and have a job. AND your parents assume work and are raising you (which is another job too).

So, since your parents have done so much for you and your siblings - you can clean for a couple more years until you are 18.

You can't move out without their permission anyways...so try to look at it is a positive light.

Also, it sounds like maybe you are cleaning not because they want you to or are ordering you to - but because of your illness.

You need to see a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist ASAP to get medication for your OCD. There is medication available and behavioral therapy available that can help your OCD. IS it possible that you don't have time for everything due to your rituals???

I read all the answers and I was horrified by the harsh word they use toward you It inconceivable for me that in 2007 people can be that ignorant about such a serious slickness like O C D . Your letter just break my heart I had a close relative who had done O c D and I know your are doing lots of anxiety with this sickness plus you are germophab I don't know how can achieve so much ;;Going to school having a job and cleaning this pig house Sweetie listen to me I am 65 yrs and i raised 5 kids and i want to help you . Yes go live with this lady who offered you to stay with her . At 16 you are free to live where it please you and your parents cannot do nothing . Not by law OH they can put pressure on you and most probably they Will because they are loosing their maid . Also dear are you on medication for your O C D If no please see a doctor because a good medication will help you a lot And do not think your abnormal Oh you are sick but those who has cancer are they abnormal / No they are sick . Well its the same for you I am wishing you lots of luck and happiness

Since you are asking what I think......I think it would be 'horribly' selfish of you to move out because of a reason like that. You can't anyways without your parent's permission.

When I lived with my parents they were neat and tidy and I was such a slob, I left messes everywhere I went and half the time I didn't clean up. And they sure didn't kick me out for that. They taught me better, and now I know better.

You make it sound like going to school, having a job and having to do chores is a huge deal. I did the same thing, and everyone I knew my age did the same thing.

If you want things to change around your house, leaving it alone sure isn't going to do anything, don't you think?
