The Canadians were in Hong Kong during the invasion and then surrender. They were also part of the Dieppe Raid which turned into a disaster. They landed in Sicily in 1943. On D-Day they landed on Juno Beach. The Battle of the Scheldt was a major victory for Canadian troops as it helped to take over the Antwerp ports. Many pilots for the RAF came to Canada as well to train. Thousands of children were sent to Canadian homes during the war to be safe.

A long time family friend drove the boats that put the Canadian troops onto Juno Beach, it was something he didn't talk about for over 50 years. He said it was a heartbreaking event in which he lost many friends.

Canadians served under the control of England.

They were involved in many campaigns but under the British Generals--I can't remember if they landed on Sword or Juno on D-Day---but that is a good place to start. You did not mention the battle of the Bulge in your question---you might find some interesting stuff about the Canadians there too.

It seems like you have listed all of the major Campaigns in the European theater already---If I were you I would find out some Canadian Generals names and google them to find out more details.

The battle at Dieppe was Churchill sacrificing a lot of lives to shut up the Allies about a direct invasion of Europe until The American and British forces were ready.

Stalin wanted the west to open up a second front in Europe to relieve the German onslaught in Russia.

Churchill was concerned that he might sway some important allies--so he approved the Raid on Dieppe. After that fiasco the allies generals agreed that they would need more time before they were ready to "BREACH the Atlantic wall"

You can find some stuff if you read "D-DAY" by Stephen Ambrose--he breaks down the invasion by countries.

Although he is primarily focused on the Americans, and Brits.

Good luck--The Canadian contribution is a very interesting and often overlooked niche in War Effort of the Allies.

The Canadians were involved in the D-Day Invasions, landing on different beaches than the Americans landed on. I think that they contributed to the war effort, but I'm not so sure how they did.

Canada's commitment to the British-French forces in Europe was limited to one division. Canada's military deployment reached corps-level strength for the invasions in Italy in 1943, and Normandy in 1944. Over the course of the war, 1.1 million Canadians served in the army, navy, and air force. Of these more than 65,000 gave their lives and another 54,000 were wounded. Countless more of His Majesty's Canadian subjects shared in the suffering and the hardships of war at home and abroad.

Its funny how different countries teach their history. Cause in Canada, we learn that Canada had a crucial impact in the war, and other than Japan, we don't hear anything bout the US. You guys from the US must learn that Canada did relatively nothing, and that the US saved the day..
