... unable to construct a sentence with correct syntax and/or spelling?

.... unable to understand the concept of individual thought and that not everyone with a similar belief thinks or behaves in the same way? (the 'Why do all athiest?' questions) *** incorrect spelling and singular noun used to illustrate my point***

... unable to grasp that people are not evil because they do not share your beliefs? Many people do good deeds, live a moral life and help others - not because of fear of retribition or in the hope of eternal life but purely because it is the right thing to do.

... so d*mned judgemental? What happened to turn the other cheek and casting first stones?

It is obvious that a lot of the people answering this have not realised that it is written in direct response to the rash of "Why do atheists.....?" questions that have been on today. Some of these have been incredibly spiteful and filled with outrageous statements and generalisations.

Maybe it should have been "Why does nobody have a sense of humour anymore?"

I have actually talked to a few good Christians who have left R&S because of the bad name that a LOT of Christians are giving to Jesus. It makes me want to stay more so that (hopefully) people can see that not all Christians are so closed minded and judgmental. I try anyway... we all have our bad days though. LOL

I am actually MORE judgmental about Christian comments because that is what is going to give people a false sense of who Jesus really is. It makes me sad to see Christs reputation of Love being lost in the hate of religion.

Interesting...so you don't think it is judgmental to judge the spelling/grammar of people you don't know (some who may not speak English as their first language or may just be young). Because you used "many" instead of "all" does that mean you're somehow less guilty of thinking everyone with a similar belief thinks or behaves in the same way?

BTW, if you're going to criticize the spelling of others, it might help to use spell check darlin'...there's only one "e" in "judgmental"!

EDIT: OK, I'll give you that one...thanks for the information...wasn't aware it was still considered acceptable (that's not a word they edited in the last article I saw published in a British journal (I was aware of the "organisation" v. "organization" thing *smile*)...but what about "retribition"?

why; when upset with some one, use their poor grammar and/or spelling ability to cut them down?

I do agree that Christians, in general, think people of other religions or no religion are evil. I see it on here all the time. Or at least they think that they are going to Hell. But this is just a Christian thing, they think other Christians of different denominations are going to Hell also. So do not be offended.

However to answer your question: Christians can learn alot about the Bible when they come on here, and mostly they learn it from Atheists. They tell themselves and God though they are on here to win souls for Him.

Why can people just listen to what other peoples opinion on certain topic. We should be open minded, and try to understand our friends and neighbors. Hate, or, a close minded person can not learn anything. The world will be in worse shape due to lack of understanding, or no communication. I thought we are in the United States and we have "Freedom of thought, Freedom of Speech".

From my experience, many of the questions on this site are intentionally provocative and that is not exclusive to Christians. I have found many questions and closed-minded responses by non-believers. The bottom line is that some people just like to argue even when there is no chance of changing someone else's mind.

=) well...spelling and grammar dont really matter online so i just write like i talk and not like an essay...lol.

umm...i believe ur 2nd to last question is rhetorical as you know the answer (we believe it to be true) but ur right, some Christians could be nicer about it.

last question...is u just complaining, cause not only Christians are judgemental. ALL peoples of ALL beleifs have some judgemental people. in fact, your stereotyping of Christians is an example of your pre-judgement over us.

well...God bless...=D

If they can't construct a sentence, big deal. Go out and talk to some real christians if you are truly concerned, you will have a much better conversation.

Also, being good by whose standards, what are you basing "good" on, exactly.

Jesus said turn the other cheek, he didn't say how many times after that we had to turn it...

Aren't sentences supposed to start with capital letters? Your grade school taught you that they do. Why don't you use proper sentence structure? I'll ask you the same thing--Whatever happened to YOU turning the other cheek?

Why do so many God-haters post these kinds of questions here? Get over yourself! You do not have it so right that you can properly take such a self righteous tone.

We're going to Heaven, so yes, we are better than others. What's your excuse for being so superior acting?
