I'm not your super Christain that knows every single word and passage in the Bible, I can't quote from any part of the Bible, But I DO believe in God, in Jesus Christ, And the Holy Spirit. And that if you ask for forgiveness, in Jesus Christs Name.....God will forgive! For God so loved the Earth, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Amen!

Amazing what the little green monster (jealousy) does to people. They claim not to believe in any deity and then they need him to do their damnation work for them.
Guess that if you're in charge of the universe the peons get jealous. God won't let the paparazzi get a photo, and the miracles tend to happen when the atheists aren't looking. Guess he thinks that the faith thing is really important, ya know.
And darned if those idiot fundraisers on Trinity TV don't know God either. Clue in. He owns the universe, doesn't need you to put your hand to the television, either.

You are sinning by denying GOD exists AND for using His name in vain. The difference is that Christians know to ask for forgiveness. The atheist won't. Remember, even the devil believes in GOD.

They just learn to say those things as expressions without really putting thought into the literal portion of it. It has nothing to do with belief these days.

Well, God's a title, not a name. So I don't (I'm a WASP by breeding, we don't call upon Jesus). Even so, it's just a cultural thing that is ingrained in my speech pattern.

It's because they don't see God as being real. Therefore they use his name as an expletive eg Swear words are parts or functions of the human body (which God created) and just happen to have harsh consenant letters in them eg .....t, ....k
etc.
I wonder what word/s they'll use when they stand in front of God on judgement day. ---- "Ooooppppssss".
