I had this dream that there was a spirit in my home. I could sense it moving in and about my home. I kept trying to swat it with a kitchen towel. Finally I just stood by the bar as my sister came in and I said, "Do you know we have an evil spirit in this home"? When I said that the light above her head dimmed down and back up. (Like ha ha!)
I said, "See? I can't get it out of here. I'm praying, but my prayers have no authority. The spirit just keeps moving and laughing” Then a voice said, "When you both repent your authority will return". The dream ended with me asking my sister to repent with me.
-Now in real life my sister and I have smoked a little on the weekends against the will and wishes of my husband who isn't home during those times. We don't go out and party we just chill in the backyard and visit while our kids are in the house dancing and playing games. We like chillin at home with the kids. We don't smoke in front of them. Cmon... Do we have to quit?

To the name caller: Life is a process. If you will... a systematic series of actions directed toward some end. Hmmm continuous changes? Transforming from one thing to another? That means you too. So I am sure you have been the very thing which you have called me. Be careful about judging for in this you judge yourself. Do you understand? You set your own standards for how God is to judge you -sweetie.

I agree, the Holy Spirit is trying to tell you something, though it may not be the smoking itself, but what it represents. You say you are going against the will and wishes of your husband, though the Bible says "Wives submit to your husbands, as unto the Lord".
You may not see smoking as a big deal, and it may well not be, (I smoke cigarettes so I am not judging) but hiding and sneaking
from your husband is. IMO, I would come clean with your husband and ask for his forgivenes.

Spirits may not exist, but I can tell you that smoking is detrimental to one's health. If you consider living a long life with your family a good thing, I would suggest quitting. It's also really heavy on the pocketbooks if you know what I mean. It's a very negative habit.

In the past, I smoked cigarettes socially, against the wishes of my husband, too. I really feel it is something that can come between you and your hubby and between you and God.
When you keep something from your husband purposely, it is lying by omission. And, of course, lying is a sin.
When I smoked behind my husband's back, I always felt badly afterward. I think the Spirit brings conviction.
And I think it is sinful to do something that you know is unhealthy for your body, that's why I finally quit completely. I felt like I was knowingly doing something that was really bad for me, even though I really enjoyed it. I don't think that's what God wants for me. And thank God I wasn't a heavy smoker, addicted to it and unable to quit.
Take care & God bless.

Smoking isn't a sin unless you think it is. That's called a sin of conscience. So if you are feeling rebellious at the time, then you are in conflict. I wouldn't put the two incidents together.
The spirit is something else. I have been around them. I have seen them upon occasion and dreamt them in lucid dreams. They are real. And you aren't even talking about being concerned for you children!!!!!!!
What kind of mother are you?

Yeah, you can't have any authority when someone thinks you are a hypocrite. It's just a basic truth. And guess who is the one to judge you? You. Your kids. Those you love. The hardest thing to see in someone else's eyes is disappointment. It's like a light goes out of their face.

It sounds to me like something has opened up your home to evil spirits. If you are talking about smoking weed, you are opening your home up to evil spirits.Horoscopes, and occultic type activities such as seances will do it as well. Ask the Lord to show you clearly, through the Holy Spirit what he wants you to change, and then do it. God bless!!

What do I think? I think smoking is bad for you and your kids need you and want you to live as long as possible, I think you have weird dreams just like lots of people do, and I think you're a little nutty but probably lots of fun. Good night.

This sounds like the Holy Spirit trying to tell you something. Listen.
Were I a non-believer, I would mark this up to your conscious getting to you. Still quit.

You don't smoke in front of them, but you're watching over them while you're stoned? I'd be less worried about the dream and more worried about what kind of role model you are for your kids.
