Can I suggest something as a Beauty Consultant, I teach skin care for Mary Kay.

Stop mixing products! Its not good for your skin and you will eventually dry it out. Don't use soap, that's the worse you can do. Mary Kay has a whole facial line called Timewise. It's not the stuff that you can find in stores because it actually works.
Mary Kay specializes in skin care so some of their products are over the counter too. They are customized for extremely dry, normal to dry, combination, or very oily. After 1 to 2 weeks you see a difference. Here is what I recommend if you are interested:
Time Wise: 3 in 1 cleanser - Cleanse, exfoliate and freshen while beginning the process to reveal younger-looking skin.
Intense Moisturizer - Firms, softens and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Hydrates for up to 10 hours.
Day solution sunscreen - Helps prevent lines and discoloration before they occur by blocking damaging UVA/UVB rays.
*Over-the-counter drug product
Or you can use the Microdermabrasion Set - Fight fine lines, refine pores and achieve beautifully smooth skin – immediately – with this simple, two-step set. This is also great for very dry skin. After you use this for a week, you will see that your face will gain its moisture again.

If you aren't satisfied, which I doubt, you can get 100% of your money back.

If you want more information, go to my website www.marykay.com/lorredasmith
or email me for a consultation to see what is best for you.

Go to the health store and get Rachel Perry Tangerine Dream Foaming Facial Cleanser with Alpha Hydroxy Acids for $12.00. Last along time and smells heavenly.

Depending on your skin type sens., normal, dry etc. I use Oil of Olay. I have sensitive skin and use only lipstick, mascara, color on eyelid.

People always tell me I have beautiful skin and I am mature woman.

I've used every brand from expensive to inexpensive. Clinique is a good brand, but it's expensive. I use a good cleanser that smells good and toner and my Alpha-Hydrox. As long as the products are formulated for your skin type you'll do well. The inexpensive brands are just as good as the expensive ones. It's all a matter of preference. Good luck. 2D

clinique is okay, but really the only way to be sure of what you need is through trial-and-error.
for example,my mom uses vasiline on her face to moisterize it (weird, i know), but if I ever did it, my face would look like i smeared it with oil. lol.
currenltly, I use clean & clear face wash with clinique moisturizer(it works best for me), and if I get a breakout I use benzoil Peroxide.
Whatever you do, don't overspend on face wash. Studies have proven that the generic brand of face clenser works better than even proactiv.

do not mix things together. it will result in skin problems. m.a.c is a good makeup brand. however, for skin care, i would recommend either origins, kiehl or murad.
