Im a teen, and I am a virgin, and I am girl. The main reason that I see here is PRESSURE. Although people tell you that they had feeling for their partners i think that the media, and peers as well as the opposite sex make teens insecure about inexperience. Even if you know all the facts and tell yourself that you want to wait for a good reason curiousity or alcohol takes over and snap choices are made.

Because they are foolish, are listening to the wrong people, and have had no guidance in their lives of wiser behavior. Then they suffer the consequences in a number of ways. Family is what it is all about. A family that is teaching their child from the ground up, doesn't have this problem. The teen waits to find the right partner for life...doesn't end up with abortions, or a child out of wedlock, and a terrible start in life....dropping out of school, etc.

Instead, with wise counsel from those who care about them...they finish their education, and do things in the right order. It's sad so many don't have that guidance in their lives.

I happen to be a teenager and had sex at a young age. I didn't do it "to be cute" nor because I was not raised well. I come from a wealthy, supporting family but was involved in a serious relationship with an older boy. I genuinely believed that I loved him and although we broke up eventually, I do not regret sleeping with him because it meant a great deal to me and always will.

alot of other teens have sex because "everyone doing it" and if you ask me both reasons are a load of ****, everyone should wait, i wish i would have

Because that's what they see on MTV and they think its okay to have sex and not care about the person or be in love. Too many people think sex is just sex and doesn't matter...

Did you know 50% of marriages end in divorce now?

for a number of reasons
1) they think they are ready
2) they are told not to by there parents which makes them do it anyway b/c who does things they are told not to do.
3) it DOES feel really good
4) pressure
5) it's the thing to do after you've had the same b/f or g/f for at least a year, maybe not even that long. teenagers are whores these days.

1) Little to no morals

2) Not a good relationship with parents or parents are not really involved with their kids

3) Peer pressure

4) Boredom and curiosity at the same time

5) Have nothing else to preoccupy their time with.

it's a coming of age process and a part of life

different people, religions, and cultures all have different beliefs on sex

whenever the individual is ready, they will have sex

and hopefully not regret it later

some do cause they are pressured, but most do because their hormones are racing and they just go with it.

I think a part of it has to do with the media and what the children of our world see today...
