Adelaide has an annual rainfall of 529mm which is less than Melbourne's and a little over 40% of Sydney's. Most of it falls between April and October. At this time of year, Adelaide has an average of 9.5 hours of sunshine a day. If you don't want so much sunshine in the summer, go to Sydney or Brisbane which have wet summers and a lot more cloud than Adelaide. Don't go to Perth, it is even drier and sunnier.

Pack up bags and head to Alaska. You'll get quite a few months without sun (or any light for that matter)
Adelaide has a dry Mediterranean climate, don't tell me you didn't know that before you arrived?
Sue someone if it makes you feel better!
