Only one passenger train goes through Omaha. It is Amtrak's California Zephyr. Trains #5 (westbound) and #6 (eastbound) operate between Chicago, Il and Emeryville, CA. It actually runs on the BNSF tracks, not the UP ones. If you want to check its schedule, go to www.amtrak.com I've ridden it several times in both directions and from what I can remember, the westbound gets into Omaha around 10:00pm and the eastbound goes through around 8:00am.
