Honey, God is definitely not ignoring you. Do you realize that God has given you the strength to write about your pain? Tonight has been a very unusual night for me and my family. I feel I logged in for a purpose. You, my dear, are my purpose. How could you have known I needed to find you as much as you needed to hear me? It was the Lord. I pray for you now that God will lift this haze of depression from you and give you the strength to rise above this pain and find a place of happiness and love and strength and faith in our God and everything that is good in the world. Dear Jesus I pray that you lead us both on the path that you would have us follow Dear Lord and that this beautiful person see your shining light in every glance in the mirror and know that she is a special gift because you, in fact, created her in Your own image. In your Precious and Holy name, Amen. Honey I know you will overcome the despair that has temporarily taken you hostage. You will be freed. You will make it out of this alive. Get out of the bed, get a shower, get dressed, go outside and breath in the gift that you are about to receive from our God in Heaven above and accept it with an open and merciful heart. You matter to me. You matter period. I love you. God WILL Bless You.

I haven't checked in to YA for awhile and rarely in this category but I think your question may be what brought me here tonight. You are obviously going through a very rough patch in your life right now and you are describing major clinical depression symptoms to a T. You need to seek some help, I guess I would start with your family physician and hopefully you can discuss your options (meds, therapy, diet, exercises, etc...). You are tuned in enough to know there is a major problem and that you do not want to continue in this direction so please take that next step, I really do know how hard it is, but the alternative is even harder.
I have also found a very good internet support site and have been very pleased with the wide variety of people and the way the site is set up, please at least check it out:
www.DailyStrength.com
If for some reason you have trouble finding the site or would like to e-mail me I'd be glad to hear from you, take care and please keep on keeping on. Peace

I will tell you something very, very important - your problem is a chemical one. This is not a function of your real life. I'd imagine that, if you really look at your life, you won't find anything so terrible as to cause this depression. The real problem is in the chemical balance in your brain.
There are medications that can fix this. Please speak with your health care professional - it can be any doctor.
I know this because 1. I have a degree in psychology and 2. I have been there. I blamed some silly things for my depression, but the problem was wholy chemical. Medication and a little behavior therapy will bring you right back to normal.

In the first place, know this: it will get better.
You mentioned you are twenty-eight years old. When I was twenty-eight, right in the middle of graduate school, I went through a patch of depression that hurt so badly I couldn't believe it. But I came to realize there was a reason I felt depressed: I hadn't taken responsibility to arrange my life so I could get what I wanted.
To get what you want, you need to take care of the day-to-day details of your life, and then just keep taking small steps toward your goal. That sounds obvious when you say it, but it took me until I was thirty-five to figure that out. Just attend to each moment of your life, and make each moment of your life work for you. All the best, Xylo

someone once told me when things go your way you become proud and selfishness can and will posses you and if you gain the world and loose your soul what good would that do to you? but if you suffer and you get up and then fall again and again you get up....keep on going because that's how the road to heaven is like... full of humble falls and pain just like Jesus had to the Calvary, because the road to perdition is full of good intentions, choose the suffering to make you humble enough to understand the pain of others and become as full of Love as Jesus want us to understand it. ask God for more Pain so you can become more loving to those that suffer, like the children that have no food or not even a place where they can lay to sleep other then the cold floor of the streets and so many other pains unbearable pain of the old people or those with a disease without a cure, anyway for what is worth may the Love of God our Savior descend Upon your heart and fill you with kindness an tenderness for the poor.

You sound depressed. If you are a spiritual person, go and talk to your priest/rabbi etc. If not, make an appointment to see your family doctor. This has nothing to do with God or any other forces. It has to do with your mental health, whether it is hormonal, chemical or just stress/anxiety. You can't hope to wake up happy if you are, as you say, in pain. Once you go for counseling and uncover what is causing the pain, you will be on the road to recovery

Chances are you don't know the word of God. What does God promise? What did He say to those who trust Him? I don't even know who you are praying to. I don't see one word about Jesus Christ, who is the one we need to make peace with God.
So if you want to be a Christian, then be one. Stop playing around with a god who has no identity, personality, or focus.
If you don't want to be a Christian, then forget everything I just told you, and I have nothing else to say to you if you deny him.
If you don't deny Him, then trust Him. Why go half way?
This is what the Lord has said:
Psalm 37
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
He said it. Trusting Him is all that's left. Try trusting him for a while with what He said. I'll bet you will find things changing for you if you do.
You are an attractive woman, but God looks inside.

Gia! C'mon! What's going on here? You mentioned all these feelings, but you have to face what is causing them. I bet a ton of people want to help answer your questions, but you have to resolve in yourself to rise up and face your monster(s)!
God isn't ignoring you... he is always with you. He has probably placed answers to your prayers in your pathway, but if you stay depressed and don't get up and get out, you could be missing what He has planned for you!
If you stay where you are how can God help you? Your free will, which He gave you, can be used to choose continuing what you are doing or deciding today that things are going to be different. Begin to help yourself and let God place others and angels in your path to help you along and out of this.
We're with you! Lift your head up and begin to see that you are worth much to many!

You know, your question makes me ponder, what is it that you have been doing with your life that you fell so empty?
I for one, had felt that way many times, and I have found that introspect and contemplation have led me to try different things.
One thing that brought me out of a deep depression years ago was exercise.
I took up bicycling for two hours a day, and the vigorous exercise brought me out of that state, cleared my mind, and gave me a new lease on life.
If at all possible, could you try this too?
Once my body felt renewed, I began a long and thorough search for meaning in this oftentimes cruel world.
Please, do not give up, for there is hope, meaning and value to life, and I am certain that we can all find it!
