Is Christianity being exploited by the ruling elite to achieve economic objectives?
Is the War in Iraq or on Terror a worthy crusade, or is Christianity being used to promote the geopolitical policies of Social Darwinists?

eelai000,
I'm just attempting to provoke thought. However, If you truly belief that our Social Darwinists are limited to Republicans only, maybe there's somethings you've yet to "get".

that has been the point of christianity for 2,000 years. you're just now getting this?

and if by social darwinists you mean republicans, your assumption is correct.

EDIT

i was answering your question. remember?

"is Christianity being used to promote the geopolitical policies of Social Darwinists?"

it's your assumption that calls for the limitation of "social darwinists" to be inclusive of republicans since they are, specifically, the ones using christianity to promote their own objectives. that's all i meant.

trust me, i get it. my answer, however, was in regard to the specific instance you have presented.

I don't want to be rude but are really trying to say "poor us (Christians)" on this site? With all the other religions that are represented on here truly being degraded on a daily bases.

And just so you know this crap in Iraq has nothing to do with anything christian. This is about a little boy getting revenge for his daddy and being willing to sacrifice a sh** load of people to do it.

Not Christianity, but Evangelical Christians have been duped by the Bush administration for votes. Read Tempted by Faith, a first hand story of an Evangelical who went into politics, worked for Bush, and became horrified by what he saw from the "inside."

I don't think so. I really don't think the War in Iraq is being fought as a religious war - at least not from the perspective of the U.S. It's very much a political war.

when pat robertson endorses rudy guiliani, yes, I would say your religion is being mocked and exploited.

When the leading rep presidential candidates tell about their religion in order to 'one up' each other and ensure voters think that they are the more religious candidate, yes...

When your top Rep. candidate espouses his Christianity at every turn, yet was reprimanded 5 times in his home state for using political funds and gifts for personal use, the answer is yes.
