I'm taking 3 AP classes, and I'm stressing SO much. School is just horrible, and I have SOOOOO much homework every single day. I'm pulling all-nighters every other day. And my grades are still horrible. My GPA was a 3.61, but looking at this year and how bad I'm doing it might drop as low as a 3.2.

It looks as if I have a miserable future...If I can't do well now, there's no way I'm going to be able to do wel in college...or life.

So my question is...is there anything I can do?? To relieve the stress?

Maybe I AM setting my expectations too high...but that's the way I am. I find it hard to change =[

I think I'm setting my expectations too high, because my whole life, I've gotten nothing but A's and B's on my report card--mostly A's.
But now...I'm seeing...D's.

go see your guidance counselor, they should be able to help with your work load, maybe a few adjustments can be made. Or, you could just get a little relief form talking to them. good luck!

Call a suicide hotline. If you can't find one, call 911.

"If I can't do well now, there's no way I'm going to be able to do wel in college...or life."

This is extremely distorted thinking.

I am not saying this to criticize you. This is a symptom of depression. Your depression is probably being worsened by being overtired, and by putting too much pressure on yourself.

You must take care of your depression. If you were suffering chest pains or bleeding profusely or some other obviously horrendous condition, you would stop everything, and taking care of that would become more important than anything. This is the same way. Your stress level is now a medical emergency. Nothing else matters. The people who love you need to know how badly you are suffering. Please reach out.

I'm in 3 ap classes, along with 3 honors, 3 sports, 3 music programs, and all the other fun junk. I listen to music while i work, and i run frequently. As for the all nighters, a 15 min rest (nap) relieves stress right after school. If you drink coffee, stop. As for the horrible school....it only feels that way because you feel you're behind and can't handle it, maybe it'll change.

I know how you feel. I was like you once too. I was always out to prove how good I was and trying so hard all the time. I was a perfectionist. I never stopped to rest and worried all the time that I would let someone down. Then one day I finally decided that it all wasn't worth my sanity.

Take a break and have some fun. Go out with friends and just cut loose. Unless you are planning to be a doctor or a lawyer you don't need a perfect 4.0 GPA. Just let it go. And let it be. Whatever happens happens. And it's best you learn this now rather than when it's too late.

OK I am a student to and the best advice I can tell you is to cut back your classes are you taking 15 hrs? Also when you first start the class the teachers are always hard on you. Get to know your teacher listen to how he speaks what he says then focus on what you think the teacher wants you to learn. Do the best you can and don't beat yourself up. I had a 4.0 from my last college now I'm getting B's but at the beginning i had an f in one of my classes. What is important is that you learn, some teachers are going to make it really hard on you cause they are pricks and someone made it really hard on them. It sounds to me though that you have to much on your plate. Stop worrying about the A that's not the important thing. You will be fine remember to reward yourself for accomplishing things. I hope I helped.

I would assume that maybe three ap classes just isn't for you.
Try dropping two of them and see how you do, that should take off the stress. But my best advice would be to just drop all of them and stick with, at the most, K-level classes. Those are going to be FAR less stressful. And if you can't do well now that doesn't mean that you can't do well in college or life, it just means that three ap classes is too much for a high school schedule.

STRESS: Stress treatments are provided in section 42, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris Practise daily, one of the relaxation techniques on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i; whichever works best for you, but the mindfulness breathing for 15 - 20 mns is ideal. Employ the EFT version for use in public, for which you can reasonably claim that you have a headache, as you massage/tap your temples. Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o refer. You can also multitask, using the gazing technique, as you walk/jog or exercise, by focusing on a distant object, noting any thoughts which flash across your mind, without pursuing any particular train of thought, just gently redirect your focus to the gazing. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil, in the winter months, and eat healthily, in accordance with your "nutritional type" as determined at http://www.mercola.com/ SEARCHBAR. Academics are just one path to success: there are many others, and your future may well lie in another field, such as fashion design, real estate, interior decorating, graphic artist, feng shui consultant, aromatherapist, landscaping, etc. Start a homework club at school with friends: do the quick, easy stuff, and all papers, essays, etc., and get answers to 80% of the rest ONLY!!! you may select, say, geography, Griselda does all the algebra, and Seven does science (and ensure the others adopt the 80/20 rule!) either at school, before class, or by email, or phone. That cuts it down, a lot, but won't help much during exams, so see study tips, and memory improvement, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris in sections 13, and 41. Try many things, and develop what you do better in. Ensure 8 - 9 hrs sleep, every night, or it will affect your ability to study, and retain information adversely: cramming/all nighters are no solution!

First of all... SLOW DOWN!

You have your goals set so high, you are having hard time meeting your own expectations. 3.61GPA is very high. 3.2 isn't bad either.

Next semester, don't take so many AP classes. That's really the only thing you can do. If you can't handle one failure (and not a failure in anyone else's book, but yours), your good grades will mean nothing in real life.

Slow down and work on expanding your vision.... set a reasonable expectations and adjust your workload appropriately next time.

Ok, relax. Make a mental list of what you have to do and for when. Do as much as you can tonight, then take a bath and comfort yourself telling urself : I've done my best, its all that matters.
Stop the all-nighters. Will get u sick.
Everything will be just fine. Give your best and if schools not working out for you, you'll find something else.

Someone needs to be there for you so you feel wanted and can relax for a moment. You carry all the burdens all the time. You will study easier and sleep better if you can find one friend who understands your life. You are doing fine and not enjoying the ride. Be brave and let your heart guide you.
