I am having Champagne coloured bridesmaid dresses with a choc brown sash around their middle.
The guys are wearing black tux's with black vests and I will just use their ties and hankerchiefs to co-ordinate.. though I don't know yet whether to match to the brown or champagne.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

What about a rich gold? Or a deep burgandy? What about a rich turquoise or a rich purple? Think of nature that time of year--there's MILLIONS of vibrant colors to choose from. They'll all go with a dark brown, that's a neutral.
Just get fabric swatches of the colors you're considering, and look at them together to see what you like the best. And it doesn't really matter if the groomsmen wear vests in a different color than the bridesmaids dresses. If it bothers you that much, have the bridesmaids wear sashes in the color of the groomsmen's vests.

Ok... why cant you wear a dark brown vest under a black tux? As long as you put em in white shirts... i guarentee you, it looks fine! (Its been in SEVERAL fashion shows i've been to) But.... if you wanna stick with that... ok!
Good thing about Chocolate/Dark brown... is its the new black and pretty much ANYTHING matches it. To ensure you have good cooridnation - if your bridesmaids dresses have sashes or ribbon ties, you can make them the same color as the vests. There are a lot of burnt oranges and cinnimon colors available that dont look "halloweenish". The key is to go with waht you think looks pretty. (I think the brown vest would be lovely!)

Why don't you just have them wear black vests with the black tuxes or not wear vests at all? A black cummerbund would look very classic. To get the matching, find a deep brown dress with black accents (buttons, sashes, trim). Alternatively, you can merely put black ribbons around the bridesmaid bouquets.

If you want you can get brown tuxes at sacinos to better match the girls dresses. Of course brown vests with blacks tuxes looks good too. My guy rents tuxes and says that he does a lot of wedding where the guys wear black tuxes with brown vests. Of course any red, champagne, or fall colors would works for their vests too.

Pick a more neutral color (or a pastel). Some good colors are champagne, light pink, baby blue, etc.
I agree, don't get brunt orange vests. IMO, I would see if you can add a sash to the bridesmaid's dresses. Maybe champagne?? If you can't add sash, maybe a wrap or shawl? That way, the guys can wear champagne vests. Then, use the burnt orange color in your flowers and in your centerpieces, etc.

They don't have to match at all- just coordinate. Why not try a champagne color for the guy's vests. Or, the guys can wear white vests and black ties- that's what we did for my wedding. My girls wore pink, but I didn't want the guys in pink, they are all grown men and would have looked like they were on their way to prom. Looked great, and the guys all looked very elegant.

I'd go with a complementary colour. If the girls are in brown, the guy's vests could be duck-egg blue or a strong pink. That way the girls flowers could tie in with the vests again. Brown dresses with pink bouquets would look lovely.
Pink Gerbera daisies always look very dramatic.

Instead of sticking to one color brown you can go to a lighter brown the further you go down the bridesmaids. Start with a nice deep brown for the maid of honor and wrok your way to white. As for the gentlemen Id go with like a cream or a light tan so it will still match but wont look like a bunch of blah lol plus isnt the flower girl supposed to match the bride so by the time you get down to white you'd be down to te flower girl

What if you go with a brown tuxedo seens how you are doing the fall thing? Or you could just do all black. You could also try ivory, cream, rust or a wine. I think that the wine would look beautiful. Hope this helps congratulation and good luck!
