When you get older you get one that is best I can suggest.
My parents were the same now I have 2 dogs, 3 birds, and a 30 gallon aquarium. My wife and I love pets so really it may be hard for you but life goes on and when your older you can have as many pets as your heart or wallet can handle.
Dogs take alot of time a patience and do not want the responsibility to fall back to them when you get tired of taking care of it plus come one your brother is allergic.

Sorry, but your just going to have to wait until you are on your own. Your parents don't want the responsibility of taking care of a pet, and your brother being allergic is another point against you getting a dog. Try volunteering at your local humane society or animal rescue group. They always need people to help socialize the dogs and puppies.

I'd think very hard about introducing a dog into the environment that you describe. 3 out of 4 people will not be able to deal with or work with the dog. Chances are very high that whatever dog is chosen will end up at a shelter - so, the best choice is to wait until you can afford the care and upkeep for a dog yourself.
Remember that when people don't like animals, negative things happen for that animal most of all - again, introducing a dog in to this kind of home is not OK.

Sounds like ''getting one'' isn't an option for you right now. Your mom & dad would be the ones who would be financially responsible for the dog, and if they don't want one, then that's the end of the discussion. The fact that your brother is allergic, and you still want one, despite the guaranteed discomfort of your brother, that's a little selfish.
Wait until your 18+ and have moved out on your own. Then, if you can afford a dog, go out and adopt one. Until then, realize that you are not in control of what pets the household has, and accept it.

Well, sorry, but if your parents don't want one, the chances are slim. And by the way, jamiroquai fanatic, I am mildly allergic to cats and dogs, and I currently have two cats and am getting a dog in a couple of years. But anyway, I would say wait until you are older and have moved out of house. Be patient. I know it's hard, but it will be worth the wait.

Exactly how do you think you are going to get a dog when your parents don't want one and your brother is allergic?!?!?! Don't sneak one into the house as when your parents find out they will most likely make you get rid of it and that will be stressful and just down right unfair to the dog. Wait until you are old enough to be on your own before you get one. You are obviously too immature to handle getting one if you are on here asking this question. Have respect for your parents and your poor allergic brother and wait for the right time.

Go to a dog park and spend time with other people's dogs.
Volunteer at a shelter. They'll let you spend as much time as you want with the dogs.
(you need to be 18 or have an adult with you)
See if you can walk a neighbor's dog. Elderly folks need help with their pets.

You could do some research on allergy friendly dogs, particularly one that does not shed. Yes...there are really dogs that do not shed. However having a dog around your brother if he is allergic may not be such a good idea. Depending on how severe the allergies it could really cause some severe problems like breathing problems, rashes, etc... I'm not trying to shoot down your hopes, but it is something to think about. It might make you happy, but could really make your brother sick.

I heard that Chihuahua's and or Lhasa Apso's, Shitzu's or Maltese are great dogs if someone in your family has allergies. They dont shed as much (if its the hair your brother is allergic to)

You're a child living under your parent's roof, so you're subject to their rules. Besides, your brother is allergic so why get something that will make your brother sick? Wait until you're old enough to move out on your own, then you can get any dog you want. I promise there will still be dogs then.
