and im talking about a twin turbo 300zx and a newer celica like 2000 - 2004 and which has the most potential to be fast, like if you put 2 or 3 grand into both cars (performance parts only) which would be faster?

Deff the 300zx z32 for speed.
Both are great cars and i would be happy with either,but if i wanted performance,then i would put the money into the twin turbo setup,as this would take less money for more bhp against the NA engine of the celica which is fast but with any na engine it take s alot of money to gain small amounts of bhp.
So the zx wins really due to a turbo setup being better spend on.
No matter which you go for join a forum to suit your car,on there owners will give you the best mods to us and ones to stay away from and many offer forum discount and group buys to traders.
Also the celica is newer but doesnt mean its a better car check service history and again check the forums for what to look out for,of course this is if you are looking to buy one.

Twin Turbo 300ZX can be a monster car if you put $3,000 dollars into the engine. Celica won't come anywhere close to being fast if you put $3,000 dollars into it. You can easily get 450Hp out of the stock 300ZX engine with Forced Induction (Turbo) and some replacement headers, cams, shafts, exhaust, ECU, etc. The Celica is a girls car, no matter what, you can't make them fast from the stock car.

Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo will eat any new or old Celica. These cars aren't even in the same category.But if you want fast take the 300zx, put in some intake,exhaust,cams,manifolds etc. You get a rocket 300zx even if you dont put in 2 or 3 grand in.

Over 300 hp 300zx vs a four Cyl. Celica Girls car? Turbo charging potential for over 400hp are what Z cars can do. Toyota cars last a long time however. 1990's Z car can be expensive to repair.

Hey the 300 of course. but instead of throwing 2 to 3 grand away, go and put that as a down payment for a nice bike!
If you put that kind of money into a car don't expect to get it back.

there is no question here, the 300 by far. If you have to ask, you are not worthy of owning a 300zx. One of the coolest cars ever.
