Coors is not new to Nascar they have sponsored, Sterling Marlin and most recently David Stremme...Rick Hendrick from what I have heard doesn't like beer sponsors on his cars, and Jr is already set with Mtn Dew Amp and Nat'l Guard.

I actually heard a rumor that Coor's is the possible sponsor for the #01 car at DEI. If it doesn't go there it will be the #27. But like Gibbs, I don't think Rick Hendrick wants a beer as a sponsor. Not to mention that the Mt. Dew Amp/Coast Guard is already sponsors of the #88 car.

Not going to happen. I think their already is a Coors car, but it is for one of those drivers who doesn't make all of the races. Haven't heard if that will change in 08 or not. They did sponsor the # 40 car, but will not next year, which probably means they will be trying to get their logo on a more popular drivers car.

Coors has sponsored several other cup teams besides ganassi/sabates

Bill Elliott carried the coors banner from 1985-1992, then kyle petty was sponsored by coors for sabates during the mid 90s. Ganassi then had coors light as a sponsor for robby gordon in 1997. Marlin was sponsored by coors from 1998-2005, then david stremme.
