Oh my friend this is truly a hard one and I hope that I have the strength to post it after I finish it. I learn from my inner demons every single day because I fight them practically round the clock.
Some days I must admit that I do get weary of the fight and that I allow them to just take over. When they are in control I know that I am worthless and incapable of giving and recieving affection and that the world is much better without my input.
Thankfully they have been trapped in there for so long that they have also taught me that I am an incredibly strong flexible individual because for all outward appearances they do not exist. The people who come in contact with me every day have no idea at the hideousness that lies just beneath the surface. Even though I feel unbearable rage at the ones who have given these demons life, I am still able to put on a forgiving face and smile. Most days I am able to keep their roar in my head to a dull murmur. Someday I feel that I will be able to silence them completely. Until then I can only continue to do the good deeds that I do out of love for my fellow man, and try to earn the love and acceptance of others. One step at a time no matter how small. I have figured out that short of dying, this is the only way to defeat them.
And I am tough and I am beautiful so I know in the long run I will win...
Have a good day my blue friend...
EDIT: I love my friend Cisco who posted right above me--isn't she the Greatest?? LOL

It is good to release stress in a constructive way, like exercise. Compete against yourself, otherwise all the extra energy festers and the 'inner demon' as you call it will pop out at the most unexpected times... many a time have I had to stop myself from blurting something I would have regretted saying, had I said it.

I've learned that my inner demons are much more powerful and more difficult to overcome than I had previously realized.

My inner demon has gotten me through some tough times the best way I could.
I am really trying to let go of some of my demons but they have protected me for so long.

My inner demon was always about feeling uncomfortable with showing my feelings,,,always afraid if I did,,,,someone would laugh or reject me. I fought it as I was growing up,, until I met my DH....I knew he loved me, just for me. I didn't have to be anyone but myself...I can look horrible and he doesn't seem to notice,,,,,he just loves me the way I am....one for me,,,,inner demon,,zero....

i think you are missing the point
what you feed will grow strong.
I am of the opinion that while you may find humor in this the demon grows yet stronger and you may find yourself swept away or worse, deceived

How far I need to go to get to where I want to be. (Of course my demon is what is giving me the incentive as "it" is what tells me how much I am NOT what I see as ideal)

That I don't have one. Demons are a fairytale much like god is a fairytale. We are all just here and when we die, that's it.
