Sean M,
Your words do not have sincerity of seeking GOD in them, they sound more like an " I am gonna do it and see if it works" type of thing. Listen this is not some game to be played with like truth or dare.
Matt. 6:33 - " Seek ye first the Kingdom of GOD and HIS Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you".
Meaning come to CHRIST because you seek The Savior, for your salvation, not to be a braggard or for it to be compared to some new video game that you just got.
Do you not know that you like all were born into sin because of Adam & Eve, who by deception of the serpent (the devil) brought sin to the earth, and that the wages of sin is death, eternal separation from GOD. And that only by The precious Blood of The Lamb of GOD, CHRIST JESUS, can your sins be forgiven. We receive salvation because of the Resurrection of CHRIST, which was for the remission of sins.
You approach this as though it were a trophy of sorts. No Sean M. this is for real, and for eternity. I beseech you to get on your knees, ask The LORD for forgiveness, then whole heartedly ask JESUS to come into your life, because you now know that you WERE a sinner, and that you want to be saved from eternal damnation. Also pray for GOD to open your heart to receive HIS Word, which is like a two edged sword that cuts down deep, even into the marrow, and DOES NOT COME BACK VOID!
GOD Almighty is Omnipotent - All Powerful, Omnisicent - All knowing & Omnipresent - Everywhere at once. Most importantly, HE is waiting for you to come to HIM in sincerity, and true repentance through HIS only begotten Son, CHRIST JESUS!
I am praying for you young one of The Most HIGH!
May GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU, for HE knew you before HE formed you in the womb.
You can email me if you like, I am more than willing to assist you in with this.

If you realize the great price paid for your sin and confessed your sin and want to follow Jesus and receive Him as Lord and Savior, you should feel a weight off your shoulders or extremem gratitude to the Lord. If you said the prayer without meanng it, or said it to see what would happen then your heart is not in it. Not all people have this "feeling" or cry or jump up and down. Now the most important thing to do is start reading the Bible (Gospels might be a good idea to start with) and find a good church that has a bible study for beginners. Be sure to set aside prayer time and quiet time just to sit and 'listen.' And when you are ready, serve like Jesus did. Sometimes I feel His presence when I am serving the homeless or the poor or the hurting.

It's a matter of faith, don't expect that abnormal things will happen to you, or that you're going to feel certain feelings, but once you prayed a sincere prayer asking the baptism of the Holy Spirit you'll receive it. You have to trust God's word: "All those who accepted Him have the authority to be God's children". Have you noticed the word "all"? So, for sure you've been born again christian. You are a new creation now. God bless you.

Because praying a prayer doesn't instantly make you a born-again Christian any more than saying you cast a spell to accomplish the same thing does.
Becoming born-again is a process that takes time. it involves spiritual growth and change. It requires you to seek after God. You have only taken the very first step in a long but worthwhile path.
When you are truly born-again, you will feel differently inside.

Simply saying a prayer does not do anything. In order to be born again you have to truly be sorry for your sins and make a commitment to live your life for Jesus Christ. "As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. . . . Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained" (John 20:21–23). Try going to confession, once you confesss your sins and repent you will have a brand new start.

To me being "Born Again" is being intitiated into a Life Path by God, the Creator. You cannot reach a destination if you never started in the first place. Bully for you on your choice to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a lifelong journey of tests and learning....oh the books that could be written...

It's not about feelings, but one thing's for SURE; if your conversion was genuine and sincere, you'll start to have new "appetites"; for the Bible says : [2 Cor 5:17]:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.'
If there's a change, there's been a conversion; if not; you need to seek God with you WHOLE heart in repentance.

You will grow as you go. The angels in heaven are singing and rejoicing.. You are welcome to the family .. God bless..
Contrary to popular belief, We did not get a packet of *INSTANT HOLY* and a bottle of * INSTANT GOD`S KNOWLEDGE* the second we decided to follow God.
You don`t become a brain surgeon, or a race car driver, or a Chef by reading one book. It takes time. We are not perfect. We will never be perfect. God doesn`t require perfection. He never asked for us to be perfect.
I would like to suggest that you window shop (Per se) Go to different denominations of churches.. If you don`t feel anything, Move on, God is NOT in the house.. You will find the right home for you.
The road to God is not instant. There are many paths and we all take a different one. None is right, and none is wrong. What guides me down the path may not guide you at all.. Ask God to make it crystal clear for you.. He does hear you..
In peace & God`s blessings from Texas <><

It is insane to expect to see a change in a matter of minutes, God answers prayers when he is ready, not when we want him too. Just be patient and do your part, you have to be sincere in your request and then wait for God to take action.
