i like cats better.
they can be playful when you want, but they will snuggle with you when you want to watch a movie.
dogs tend to be more hyper and active, which can be good, but they rarely settle down and they often bark, growl, or jump up on someone who comes to the house, walks by, etc.

It all depends on your lifestyle, both make great pets, however, cats don't require as much interaction as do dogs, I have three cats they are totally awsome in there own personalities, much different than dogs, if you let yourself bond with a cat it's fulfilling relationship so much different than a dogs , i love dogs also, it all depends on the person

Dogs, because they show you affection and are not moody as cats. For me I enjoy the company of dogs better than cats..

I think that dogs are better, but thats just my opinion. Cats are alright to but I think that dogs can serve more of a purpose. =]

CATS!! They are less work. I have a menacing dog that I can't leave alone for more than 6 hours because he needs to be let out to pee.
