There was a time in this nation's history when all that entered were subjected to certain tests to be able to stay. These tests made sense then, and they make sense now.

1. A background check to assure that no known criminals were entering.

2. Medical examinations to ensure they were not bringing in any transmittable disease.

3. Proof of sponsorship so they are taken care of until they can take care of themselves.

All of these need as much attention paid to them now as they were then. Most especially, the background checks need to thorough and unwavering. This administration has no right to speak of its efforts to defend us from terrorists while it pushes to destroy our borders and to leave them porous to all that wish to cross unchecked and UNCHECKED.

Someone in the office of immigration needs to go back about 90 years ago and see how immigrants entered the United States and go by those laws.. From what I understand everyone had to have a sponsor that took care of their needs until they were able to do so on their own.The American born citizens of the United States are taking care of far to many people that have nothing to offer America except to take care of them, and give them their rights..

Keep the laws as they are for the most part. What we should really do to get rid of the illegal immigrants is to make the business have such a high fine when hiring illegal immigrants that its not worth it anymore. Eventually, they wont want to come here anymore because no one will be hiring them. Also no welfare, health care too those free loaders.

I have NOTHING against any of the illegal immigrants from Mexico, but we seriously need to close up the borders and keep everyone out. When people hop the border, they're being lazy, ignorant, and they're showing that they don't care at all what this country thinks. It's wrong. We need to be much stricter on illegal immigration.

I would ENFORCE the laws that are already on the books, without pandering to any particular ethnic group, without concern for anyone OTHER than my OWN citizens, and without the "fear" of the ACLU kooks who haven't a CLUE what the Constitution says.
