Ok, so this Christmas is gonna be great for me. Well WAS! My best friends family (which is my 2nd family that moved far away a year and 1/2 ago and ive only seen them for one day at a time 2x) asked me to spend Christmas with them in their old house (a cabin on the mnts in North West GA, where we both used to live, not too far from me now)! Until about a week ago I found out that sometime during my 2-wk stay with them that we are speding a couple nights in a Gatlinburg cabin with the'r aunt and cousins. Fine with me, as long as I can bring Cena, or Im not away from him too long.
They told me their aunt said I could bring him since he was under the weight limit for pets. Then a couple a days ago I found out that I can no longer take Cena because they got a different cabin. Soooo I was thinking "well thats ok, cuz I can still be with him on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Then I found...

Hello,
I hope you don't think this is mean.
I think that you should think.
If you think you will miss them too much don't goo.
If you think you could last you can. If you go make sure that the people taking care of him/her do a thorough job. I recommend not going. I would miss them all too much. good luck on making you decision.

Well think about it, you pup gets you every day, but these people have only gotten to see you twice in 1.5 years. Your puppy will be there when you get back, and you can throw a special christmas for her before or after your trip.

sounds like you must choose between the two. No offense or anything, but to a dog, Christmas is just another day in their life. They really have no idea what day it is, and such. I don't think they will care if you aren't there for them on Christmas

You friends probably know someone there that will sit with him for a few days. Tell them how you feel and ask if they have any ideas.

rent a motel that allows dogs for those 2 days and visit with the friends and then you can go back to your room with your dog

You sound a little needy... If you can't take him, you have to decide if you want to go or not. Or sneak him along..
