How do you convince a girl that you are a good catch when???

Question

I don't have a car, and I live in a dorm with a roommate. Most girls look for guys that have fancy cars and big houses. I have been that guy before and I have ended up getting used every time. How do I convince a girl that I am a good catch without having those material things. I could buy a car anytime I want but i don't because I want a girl to want me for me not for my car or money. Why are girls so materialistic?

Some girls may be gold-diggers, but certainly not all of them. Join some clubs or participate in activities where you will find people with similar interests. Form friendships first, and if a girl interests you, try to find out what her values are before jumping into a relationship. Ask her out for a walk in the park, or a visit to a museum, if she is willing to go on a date that doesn't require large expenditures of cash, that will tell you something about what she values. If you are genuinely friendly and show an interest in people, I bet you will find someone compatible who likes the person you are inside. People who are less affluent do find caring individuals, otherwise the majority of the population would still be single.

Personally, having a car or a house, especially an expensive one, is really not a factor for me in who I want to date. They're both helpful because it's easier to get around with a car or to be alone with a house. But that's not why I would date someone. Having a job and/or getting good grades (since you're in school) shows responsibility, and that you can take care of her. It's not material things or looks that are gonna win a girl over. A good girl is looking for personality, reliability, trustworthiness, etc. Be outgoing and fun-loving; just be yourself. Don't be afraid to go after girls and flirt with them. Girls like to be chased.

I would not date you without a car either. been there. done that. A car says that you have enough get up and can hold a job long enough to have an acceptable mode of transportation. You want a woman who wants to walk? Or are you one of the ones who is looking for a woman to take care of him.? Thats why women look for guys with something. Because the ones without are scary.

all you have to do is just be cool and have some clever things to say, and ask the girl out (like for a meal or to play pool,etc), most of the time that will do the job. i don't understand the issue....


maybe it's like this: before, the girls were attracted to the cars and money, not attracted to you. now, the girls aren't attracted to the cars and money (b/c not there), and aren't attracted to you.
so see, you're basically in the same position, it's just a little lonelier.

you just need to keep looking. eventually you will find a girl who does like you for you and thats the one that will be the catch! if you have to convince them that they don't need a car to be in love then they are not the right type of girl

Seeing as your in a dorm room... your in college or something right. right there is how you can convince a girl your a good catch. and we arnt materialistic.. well.. some of us are.. most of us arnt. so yeah.. girls will come to see your a good catch eventually.
