In the religions that predate Christianity the Gods often had children with Women. Christianity is an amalgamation of those earlier religions.

The Scripture clearly teaches that Jesus is the True God. Ask God to reveal to you who He really Is. If you're up for the challenge pick up the Bible & Read His Word. Here's a couple of Scriptures to get you started: John 1:1; Gen 1:1; 1 John 5: 20, 21; John 17 Matthew 28:18-20; etc. I will keep you in you in prayer so the Truth would be revealed. Keep in mind what 2 Corinthians 4:4 says. . .

If Jesus was the first and only Son of God as presented by religious interpretations, then, who are we the children of? If there is only one God and One Creator, it's not appropriate to talk about this person or that group of individual as the only children of God. If this is true,. then the idea of One God does not belong in any religious doctrine that holds such believes. But the truth of the matter is that the so called "Son of God" is a metaphor with a meaning very different from the folkloric and literal interpretation we've come to know it by. It was a title given in antiquity to wise men, philosophers, military leaders, emperors and kings. Any body who's achievement, knowledge and wisdom was beyond his pears was considered to be an exceptional person, tho it was quite common to talk about that person as "the son of god" or "the preferred son of the gods". Jesus, who was the embodiment of an ideal and not a real person, was not the only one to be called "The Son of God" and to claim to be "The Son of a Virgin". Socrates, Buddha, Krishnah, and many other also hold similar claims. The idea was copied from a more ancient Egyptian tradition where we find the god Osiris been the son of the virgin goddess Isis. In Esoteric Mysticism, a far more advanced and deeper spiritual doctrine than that of any common religious set, "The Son of God" and "The Virginal Birth" are used to represent stages in the intellectual and spiritual unfoldment of the human soul. Such souls are usually recognized by the capacity to put aside their own personal wishes for the good of mankind. One assassinated in Memphis in a more recent day, is a very good example of this subject. Once we know the true meanings of the terms or symbols in question, we find out that's very logical and appropriated to use them in some specific instances in reference to some type of persons. I think i should mention another term that has been equally miss understood and miss used by demagogues and charlatans: "The Chosen People" or "The Children of God". Before we accept, reject or criticize concepts like the ones expressed here, we should educate our self on this subjects, we should read not only books that supports ours preferred believes, and we should listen not only to any particular preacher who usually is equally ignorant.

Jesus was conceived when the Holy Ghost overshadowed her.God didn't have physical sex w/ her, or else it wouldn't have been a virgin birth. God doesn't have any wives/kids! The Bible plainly tells us that. He's called the Son of God because he was the physical child of Mary and conceived of the Holy Ghost. Jesus was the Father,Son, and the Holy Ghost. See Colossians 2:9-10.

Peace.....Begotten mean "to produce", but not "sex" necessarily and in Mary's case definitely not - she produced Jesus but at the hand and grace of God the Father with the Holy Spirit. Blessings, "orthros"
