Of course they can, mine do and I even buy for my parents dog. Cats love toy mice and "kitty can't cope sacks". Dogs love balls and treats. Go to the local Petsmart, they have anything and everything you can imagine.

Are you asking whether or not to get a gift, BECAUSE she's been bad cat? or what type of gift to get?

Personally, I don't think she was being a bad cat. Everyone knows that toilet paper can be an absolute blast if you shred it just right. I'd call that your mistake for using it in the first place or at least putting it where kitty can get to it.

As for a good gift, a log of wood can be a great x-mas gift for kitty (make sure its bug-free first!) & will probably save your furniture. Most suggest a scratching post, but I've found properly cut fire logs to be cheaper & longer lasting .

I give my cat Christmas gifts. Like a new toy or dinner bowl. Mostly he just plays with the ribbon on the package.

Every year I buy my cats toys for Christmas. Tons of them too. They love them and plus, I love it because they are pre-occupied with them and they leave things like my toilet paper rolls alone :).

My cat has a stocking full of toys, and she got a new cat tree for Christmas. Even my rats have their little stockings stuffed.

I have a cat socking that says "nice kitty"

Make sure you do not put cat nip in it. We had that mistake a few years ago.

Definitely! My mother-in-law gets her "grandkittens" new toys and treats every year. She has to spoil them, since they're the closest thing to grandkids she has... :-)

yes you can get her a gift...our animals always get something...maybe a nice scratch post or toy mouse with catnip in it would be appealing to her.
