There were many horrible things done in the name of Christian religion, just ask the millions of Native Americans..of wait, they are not here anymore.
Christians have changed the way they work to spread their word or beliefs. At least for now and current Christians can not be held accountable for things done by others in the past.
Muslims on the other hand are committing their crimes now. They have killed many and want to kill many, many more that disagree with their ideals. At the current time, Islam is NOT a peaceful religion.
I am do not know your age, but if you have ever seen old Warner Bros. cartoons, you will understand. I see Christians sort of like Yosemite Sam. They are a bit crazy, but lovable and every once in a while (as in few decades or so) they blow something up. Muslims, I see more like Marvin the Martian. They are trying to take over the world, but they just can not get the ray gun to work right yet.

Maybe because it's happening now, and not 100 years ago. None of us were alive 100 years ago! And we don't kill people or own slaves. Somehow the Muslims are guilty for killing people now. And those they have not killed they want to kill for things like Teddy Bears named Mohammed.
The fact that I have to explain this to you shows that whatever I say will not make any difference to you. That's another thing we westerners expect from Muslims: Muslims think whatever they do today is justified and needs explanation.

Ummm, first of all, Manifest Destiny was not about spreading Christianity. It was about spreading democracy and freedom. That alone renders your question moot.
No doubt, there was killing going on... but it had nothing to do with Christianity.

BTW blacks were enslaved by Arab Muslims and then sold to whites.Slavery is to date going on in Arab countries. Young boys are kidnapped in Pakistan(By fellow Muslims)and sold to Arab countries where they are used as camel race jockeys.They are starved to maintain low weights and later abused in all manners. U will never see angry demonstrations by Muslims against that! No finer case of Hypocrisy .

All religions see their religion as the true and right way, and as much as they preach tolerance, can be remarkably condescending and close-minded about other belief systems.
